Room Mate Lola

The Hotel Mariposa in Malaga is ideally sited in a boho artsy part of the city, with local individual well priced good restaurants on the doorstep of the pedestrian street. It is an easy walk to all the main galleries and museums and other attractions and also to stroll along the marina. It's also under a 15 minute walk to the main railway station, Maria Zambrano. Staff are professional and friendly. Our room was at the front on the second floor (visible on the photo) and was quiet, well appointed, extremely clean, with a mini bar, safe, and ample storage. The air conditioning was excellent and the beds extremely good. The bathroom was equally well appointed. We overcame the lack of a fan by keeping the door open while taking a shower. Lifts worked quickly (there are stairs) and the roof top bar was super. Breakfast was high quality with a good buffet menu. We had a very early morning departure and were delighted that the reception staff gave us a small bag of breakfast goodies to take with us: a lovely gesture. Recommended unreservedly.

The hotel is very well located and clean. The breakfast is very good and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I can only recommend the hotel.

Very friendly staff, room available shortly after we arrived early in the day. Room was spacious and very well equipped. Perfect location for the port and the old town. Would definitely return
