The hotel is sited on the side of the main road between Nerja and Frigiliana, so noisy. The safe in the room was not working. Asked for some ice to take to the room and told it’s against hotel policy. The pool sun beds are tired and need updating !! Oh and for an hour to use the hot tub it’s €29.99 each. How this place gets a 3 star rating is beyond me.

The hotel surprised us with several things and all of them good, to start, the location is very good, between Nerja and Frigiliana, 2/3 km from each town, but with the tranquility of not being in the middle of the tourist hub, which I at least appreciate, the hotel is super quiet, with a spectacular terrace to have breakfast while seeing the sea and mountains in the distance, with its pool that usually has very few people and you can enjoy it, it also has a spa but it is paid, here it did seem a bit expensive to me, but it looks very good, the staff is a 10, especially the cleaning lady (Ana) and the maintenance technician (Oche) with whom I spoke a little more, super professional when it comes to finding solutions to what you propose to them, lovely people! In the dining room it was also very good, both at breakfast and for the rest of the meals, we tried almost the entire menu and very good service from the blonde French waitress and Manolo, I think that was also the name of the dining room manager. Very grateful and we will surely return.

The conditions were much worse than what was described.
* The mattress sagged in the middle and was very uncomfortable for sleeping.
* The bed was small and we constantly bumped into each other every time one of us turned over.
* The shower was very small and outdated, typical of a low-category hotel.
The breakfast was very scarce. When we asked them to prepare an omelet for us, they simply replied: "eat what's there."
The hotel's facilities and service do not correspond, by a long shot, to the price we paid for two nights.
The worst part of all was the treatment toward our dog. The hotel presents itself as "pet friendly," but in reality, it is not. There are no real facilities or amenities for those traveling with pets.
* There is a plot of land with grass that is completely dry and scorched by the sun. When that grass dries out, it pricks like needles, so it is impossible to play there with the dog.
* The space designated for dogs measures approximately 1 × 1 meter. Imagine if three large dogs were there at the same time. It is totally insufficient.
* For breakfast, there are supposedly several tables where you are allowed to be with dogs. However, the kitchen manager, Carol, forbade us from sitting there because, according to her, "there are many customers today and someone might be bothered by sitting near a dog." At that moment it was 8 in the morning and there was only one table occupied on the terrace.
* The receptionist, Carmen, addressed me in a very aggressive manner, as if I were in her own home and my dog were dirtying it. She was constantly telling us: "you cannot sit there," "you cannot walk through here." At one point she even followed me to the lobby to tell me in a very unpleasant tone: "Can't you hear me? I am telling you that you cannot be here!", when there was absolutely no one in that area.
This hotel is "not pet friendly." I do not travel with my dog to leave him locked in a room all day. In fact, Carmen even said to me: "But doesn't your dog sleep in the hotel? Haven't we let him sleep here?", as if allowing the dog to spend the night in the room were enough to be considered a pet-friendly hotel.
