Ivory Playa

Staff and facilities are still great but for first time in 4 years we have visited, the animation team let it down. One guy seemed to do most of the work but activities were identical every day and lacked imagination. In the past the entertainment team provided the best night of the week even through simple games as well as their own shows. They stayed around to get to know guests which makes such a difference. My adult autistic grandson really appreciated this but was disappointed this year. Past teams have also stuck around to make sure external acts received full appreciation which must have helped them too. I hope that in future the hotel management employs entertainment staff who show the same enthusiasm as teams in the last few years because it’s been a huge advantage to a fab hotel with wonderful loyal staff!

I don’t normally post reviews but we have just stayed at the hotel Ivory Playa for 2 weeks and loved it. The hotel itself is lovely, all of the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The entertainment staff Ari and Leandro (apologies if names spelt wrong) are really good with the actives and with the children. My boys loved water polo and water basket, as well as the paddle boarding and air track in the pool. They also enjoyed making masks, getting face painting and playing Mario kart on a big screen with other children. It was really well organised and I liked that different nationalities were mixing and playing together. We stayed on a self catering basis however the hotel had a half board option which you could upgrade to on a daily basis if you wanted. We did eat in the snack bar which was reasonably priced and food was nice. The hotel is right next to the beach and you can walk either direction for miles. However you can also go out if the hotel to the right and walk 20 minutes to the strip area if that’s where you want to go or 50 minutes to the port area which is beautiful. Alternatively you can get a bus or taxi which are also reasonably priced. If you turn left out of the hotel it’s only 10 minutes walk to the playa de muro area which has a selection of bars, restaurants and shops. We only went to the night time entertainment once as went out on an evening but the kids entertainment and show were very good. The rooms were cleaned daily and were of a good standard. I thought the aircon could have been cooler but my husband and children thought it was perfect. All in all fabulous hotel and location would definitely recommend and hopefully return in the future!

Absolutely amazing hotel and location the views are a treat for the eyes the beach is next level we had a lovely holiday here would definitely visit again.
