Beautiful apartments, lots of plants and very pretty, perfect for our family trip, pool is a saltwater pool and was lovely and never too crowded. The owners were friendly and helpful. Small shop and bar open in the day time, 5 min walk to the main strip, 5-10 minutes walk to a lidl. Everything we needed in the apartment and beautiful beach 10 minutes walk away. The owners give out free pool towels which was handy. Plenty of bus stops/public transport nearby too. We had the best time! Only downsides are if you don't have good mobility these apartments are on the top of a hill so not suitable. Also there is no air conditioning so I personally wouldn't go there in peak months again as it was very hot in the night.

After reading some of the earlier reviews, I wasn’t sure about booking this place for a last minute week with my 3 boys, but I am so glad I did! I’ve known Paguera for a long time so that helped when trying to find somewhere within budget and close to the town. Also travelling for the first time on my own, I wanted to feel safe. I was aware that it was up a hill but only 5 minutes away from my favourite place Poppins and the Eroski, so it was booked with a week until travel. When we first arrived after an early morning flight, we were greeted by a lovely older chap who escorted us to the reception area. He told us he was ‘Jimmy Papa’ and that his son Jaime would help us with check in. I’d been messaging with the son for the last week to ask lots of questions and he was always quick to answer and put my mind at ease. After a quick check in (having done the bulk online) he escorted us to one of the ground floor apartments. I was initially a bit reserved about being at the bottom but the room was light and spacious with a huge enclosed terrace overlooking the pool. As it was one bedroom, the 2 separate sofa’s were made up as beds. There was a lovely sizeable bathroom as well as a well stocked kitchen area (only used for drinks). The place has a proper Spanish vibe. Lots of plants and gorgeous coloured tiles along the walk way to the main building. The pool area is fairly large, plenty of sun beds and parasols. There was never an issue finding a bed at any time of the day but not sure what it’s like in peak months. The pool a perfect size for relaxing and cooling down in but if you are looking for somewhere to have a lot of splash fun in, this won’t be for you. The complex offers free pool towels, parasols for the beach and I noticed there was also sun lotion too in the bar area. There is also a large outdoor WC’s to side of the bar area. Very clean and well maintained. The pool and bar is open from 9 until 6 and is predominantly run by Jimmy Papa. I was a tad disappointed that they didn’t offer food options but this was only a minor niggle as we ate breakfast each morning just 5 mins down the road at Poppins. It looked like at some point they had offered food but the pool area was so quiet while we were there, I can see why it was not necessary. Drinks were available and not at all expensive - €1.50 for a bottle of water (large not cold) and €2 for a can of soft drink. There was also a shop area that I only discovered on the last day. Well stocked essentials like wine and beer 😜. So overall we had a lovely week. There were a few niggles that I feel are worth mentioning as I like to give a balanced view. The place is positioned in an elevated area in Paguera that might not suit everyone. It is a bit of a hike back but we took our time. It might not be great for anyone with a reduced mobility. Mosquitos! I know this is all part of the experience but there are a lot of plants and greenery in and around the property. I was doused in repellents as well as a room plug in but I was still bitten badly. There are a lot of rules! Might not be for everyone. Didn’t bother me as I like order but it clearly bothers others after reading earlier reviews. Jimmy Papa is on the ball too, especially maintaining the ‘pool rules’. He is in the bar and pool area from 9 until 6 and watches everything 😁 but it runs very smoothly and he can’t do enough for you. I see that as caring. The pool times could be reviewed. It is a residential area and there was an occasion where 2 of my boys were in the pool from 9am. They were talking and were told to be quieter. I didn’t challenge it as it was towards the end of the holiday but if there is an issue with noise from 9am, don’t open the pool area as early as 9am! Maybe 10am? Also 6pm seemed early to close the pool, especially when the weather was still glorious. I know the hours are set to suit the family who own it but surely it is about customers as well? I doubt this will ever be reviewed as it suits them and has probably never been any different. I also find the inconsideration of other guests frustrating, especially being ground floor. Scraping of chairs at 12am, stuff dropping on the floor. It is just a matter of courtesy that not everyone takes into account when being in upper floor apartments. Finally and the biggest issue for me and possibly why I would not return (although my boys would want to come back!). NO AIR CONDITIONING! I know there were fans to hire at €3 a night or €15 a week but with it being so so hot and AC units being relatively cheap to buy and installed (like the mobile units that can be wall mounted) it is a must in the Majorcan heat. Paguera itself is a lovely family friendly resort. I’ve known it for over 30+ years so I felt at home.

Just back from staying here and honestly, I'm not one to write reviews but I really wanted to sing the praises of this amazing place. Went with a friend and my 7yr old God-Daughter. It was perfect and exactly what we wanted and more. Everything was spotless, peaceful, friendly and what a break away should be. The salt water was lovely, the family are wonderful and the peace and quiet is just perfect! James senior was the nicest, kindest man who couldn't of been more helpful. Small touches like free use of pool towels, sunscreen at the outside bathroom, plenty of sunbeds, lovely set up balconys and so much more. We have already decided we will be back.
