Hi Honolulu

Very disappointing hotel. The aesthetic of the hotel looks incredibly neat and inviting. That's all I've said. In my opinion, this is just a cheap budget hotel. The maintenance really leaves something to be desired. This way you see overdue maintenance around the entire pool. In many places, for example, there are no sealant edges anymore, so many edges are very sharp. In the hotel room, the sealant edges are just partly moldy and the air exhaust and air conditioning in the room have not been cleaned for months to years. That's not because of a few weeks. The balustrade on the balcony is just loose... Very disappointing. Also the beds we found very bad and uncomfortable to sleep on. We also found it very unpleasant and unhygienic that you are allowed to participate at breakfast in your bikini or swimming trunks. The breakfast was tasty and neatly catered for. On the other hand, the quality of the lunch was really inedible. Things that came out of the frying were just infused with fat and simple other dishes were really inedible. The service/options from the hotel are also really bad. The staff, on the other hand, is really very friendly, there is really nothing to say about that. They are happy to have a chat with you, but in the end, of course, they have to follow the rules. The hotel is located at the top of a hill. For people who are less mobile or pregnant, this is definitely a fence. It is a real no-brainer for us to never book here or at one of the other Caramelo hotels again.

Not long returned after 12 nights away, and we’re gutted to be home after such an amazing stay. The hotel itself is lovely, modern and very clean. The staff are all very friendly, especially those working in the restaurant and bar area. The breakfast was amazing, best hotel breakfast I have had abroad - so much choice and always being replenished. We went half board so we had €30 each on our wristbands, and this went along way. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced, and so worth the money. The rooms are very clean, can’t fault the staff cleaning the rooms at all. They are a bit more on the small side compared to where I’ve stayed previously but it was not an issue, you’re only in there to sleep and get ready. The bathrooms are very nice and modern. We had a side sea view room, directly facing another hotel which was very loud from about 12am but we knew where we were staying so not an issue for us. The hill outside is on the steep side but it’s not that bad. The location is great, 5 minute walk from the beach, near lots of shops and round the corner to the strip. Overall we loved our stay here and can’t wait to come back!

We booked this holiday last minute, and we really enjoyed our time at the Caramelo! The rooms were clean and stylish, although little room to store any larger cases. We had breakfast included which did not disappoint - there was a great selection ( & free prosecco included with breakfast) , in the same restaurant after 12:30 they serve lunch and dinner which had a large selection and once again was very tasty! We was able to put money on our wristbands to buy lunches and drinks round the pool - you can also pay card if you wanted to! Prices of drinks and food were reasonable. Great location in between Palma nova and magaluf (both in walking distance) which was great for us who wanted the best of both worlds. We saw a lot of negative reviews about the steep hill - and whilst it was a steep hill which may not be suitable for those who have mobility issues it didn’t ruin our stay here and we would definitely be back. Staff were friendly and they hosted fitness classes most days. Overall I would really recommend this hotel.
