Hipotels Marfil Playa

This hotel is OK, it has nice staff and is very clean, the drinks are good. The food is very limited for children, do not come here if your child wants chicken nuggets/garlic bread/burgers/sausages as you will be disappointed. There is no snack bar just a glass display with some cake and watermelon in it. Fortunately we booked half board but I would be unhappy if we had paid for all inclusive as it does not cater well for families.

First of all, I need to say that all of the staff at this hotel are the most friendly and helpful we have found at any if the hotels we have stayed at... they honestly make the hotel such a delight to stay in. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean by the ever hard working cleaners all through the day. We had out room cleaned and towels / bedding changed every day too which was a welcome bonus. The bar staff are fantastic, so friendly and cheerful, with very generous spirit measures. Although the hotel was getting busy when we stayed there was never a big queue and we were always severe within a couple of minutes. The meals in the restaurant for me were not to my taste, but I could always find something to eat. I feel it was catered more towards the German and French guests, which is to be expected with such varied nationalities staying at the hotel. My wife is coeliac and was very well catered for. There is a gluten free section at Breakfast with gluten free bread, muffins and cornflakes with a separate gluten free toaster. At lunches and dinners, my wife asked was able to ask for gluten free baguettes, pizza and pasta and the excellent restaurant staff would make this specially for her. When we went into the restaurant at the start of each meal she asked the head chef and waiter to advise on what was gluten-free and they showed her round without any fuss..... excellent service, we were most impressed. In summary this was a fantastic hotel and well worth a visit.

Nice holidays, perfect location. Good food. Amazing staff, specially at the reception. Nice and clean facilities. Good value for payd price. Only downside for us was the lady at the pool. It felt like she'd something against us. Really unfriendly and rude when coming to us. Aparently we had to be always on top of our childs when they was in the pool. (Even they could swim, maybe not perfect but good enough). But others playing with the balls disturbing people that wanted to relax in the pool weren't told anything. Also to mention that often when we looked for her she wasn't to be seen at the pool but you could find her pretty often just at the bar talking to the staff instead of watching the pool and our childs maybe. But I guess its easier to tell the guests to watch constantly your childs then having an eye yourself. So we couldn't disconect and chill at the pool even for a bit which is what you actually look for on a holiday trip. Apart from that It was all good and we hope to be back next year too.
