We stayed here in July as a group of three girls on a self-catering holiday, and we had such an amazing time. The atmosphere was friendly and inclusive, and we never felt left out.
We decided to upgrade to all-inclusive for one day, and it was absolutely worth it for the price! The food was delicious, there was a great variety to choose from, and the drinks were fantastic—especially the strawberry daiquiris, which quickly became our favourite.
The entertainment team really made our holiday. They were so friendly, full of energy, and always made an effort to include us in the activities. A special mention has to go to Fran, who was incredible. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he made every activity so much fun. He even listened when I suggested playing volleyball in the pool and made it happen for us. It was such a hit that he organised it again on our last day, which was the perfect way to end our holiday.
Thank you to everyone for making our trip so memorable. We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun, welcoming holiday.

Just returned from a week’s stay. Mixed review to be honest. Staff are lovely very friendly. Entertainment staff are good too. Pool area is nice and always plenty of sun loungers without having to get up mega early. We stayed self catering. We eat out a lot so don’t ask for much in the room but lack of a toaster is odd you have to pay 10 euros for one from reception which you get back when you return the toaster but why not just put one in the room? I’ve never ever known a hotel self catering with no toasters? The kitchenette area is very small hardly any room to store things and hardly any room to make sandwiches etc. Cups and glasses are tiny and tiny bowls so no good for cereal. Tiny travel kettle too. I understand if you’re all inc or half board that these are not major issues but self catering they are. The fridge is very small too it just felt messy and cramped and all we used it for was brekkie and sandwiches as we ate out for main meals. The rooms are in need of updating the taps were falling off in the bath/shower. The decor/tiling is old it didn’t feel very clean. The sofa beds had marks all over them in the lounge thry felt dirty. The bedroom was fine. Spacious and felt clean. It is quiet at night so no issues sleeping. A weird alarm did go off one night right outside our room very loud at 2am we never received any info or explanation about that. There is no way this is worthy of 4 stars unfortunately. The location isnt great. It feels dirty around the hotel walking into Cala millor or Sa coma it just feels a bit rough. Once you’re in Cala millor or Sa coma it’s fine but Cala millor deffo the nicer out the two. The gym is tiny and the air con virtually non existent so if more than one person in it, it feels way too hot. Didn’t use the indoor pool and we didn’t eat in the cafeteria so cant comment on those. We did eat at the pool bar and the food was lovely. Overall I’d say good friendly staff good pool area but location, cleanliness and lack of facilities in rooms let it down. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Currently staying at the Mar Blau for 1 week on a self catering basis as i wanted to book a last minute break away before returning to work from maternity leave. I've rated a 2 as i had high hopes for this place and it fell way short for a 4* hotel. We are a family of 5 with 2 small kids and a teenager. If you're thinking of booking here self catering, please don't! Save your money and stress levels, unless you're planning on eating out for every meal. The facilities are completely inadequate especially for what you pay (nearly £2000), we have 2 small hobs to work with, which feeding a family of 5 is becoming increasingly difficult and tbh is really making me regret my choice to book here. Upon our arrival we were greeted friendly enough, although no information provided in regards to whats offered/available, after that, most reception staff have either been ignorant or simply just can't be bothered to help, and we weren't asking anything particularly bothersome, either advice on closest laundromat, supermarket etc. My husband asked for advice on a place for takeaway he could run to quickly, only to be met with an unhelpful and almost annoyed attitude from one of the guys in reception. The same receptionist completely ignored us the next day when we again asked a simple question (the closest beach)
I cant comment on food as we've not eaten much here at all, we did try a few times though, went down around 6pm to order food only to be told the kitchen has closed, tried again next day about 5pm and was told the same 🤷🏾♀️ My daugher got a burger and chips yesterday when at the pool and said it was good.
Our room was clean and fresh, although not much welcome info which you'd usually expect from a 4* hotel, aircon only works if all windows and doors closed, also not advised of this and had to work it out for ourselves! Fridge is very small and tiny little freezer compartment holds no more that a bag of ice, which again for an average family self catering isn't ideal, which results in multiple trips to supermarket to stock up.
I asked reception if any rooms had even small oven, was told no and that I could get a toaster for 10€ deposit, something I'd have expected to be standard in a 4* self catering room.
Very disappointed the pool is closed at 6pm! Especially when it's still scorching at that time, but I understand they maybe need to treat the pool etc, but still unexpected so early.
Entertainment team seem to make a great effort with customers, again not experienced much as small kids are usually tired by 8pm.
The one positive I can pick out is the housekeeping, I think the girls name is Alessandra, she has been amazing and nothing is a bother or too much for her, and she is so sweet to our baby and 3 year old. Cala Millor beach is beautiful and sandy but 37€ for 2 loungers 😱 and a trek with small kids in this heat, Sa Coma beach is closer but very rocky and slippery which wasn't great for an energetic 3 yo, maybe further up isn't as rocky, 20€ for 2 loungers.
All in all, i personally wouldn't return to this hotel, it's left me feeling annoyed with myself for booking our 1 st holiday away since wee ones being born and being so disappointed in the accommodation. This is my honest review and opinion, and the type of review I wish I had seen prior to booking myself, I've read that some have had similar experiences and others who have had good, but unfortunately this is our experience so far.
