Puerto Azul Suite Hotel

GOOD: Staff very friendly, hotel very clean, food very good. Changing and shower room available on last day. BAD: WIFI absoluletly terrible, not enough parasols for the amount of guests, people reserving sunbeds before breakfast rule not enforced, Lifts broken so have to carry cases to 2nd floor, not able to charge drinks and food to room so have to pay every time. AIRCON in room really really poor (reported twice to reception without improvement). VERDICT: Would I stay again? Not in this hotel, town nice but hotel seriously lacking.

Very average. Not usual 4* standards. Food is basic, not as much choice as other 4* hotels, virtually every plate you pick up is dirty. Most restaurant staff nice and friendly, lots of food is cold for example the fried eggs at breakfast aren’t kept warm just put on a cold plate to help yourself to. WiFi is non existent. Pool area is nice but there aren’t enough parasols for everyone and the hotel padlock all the sunbeds up at night and only unlock them at 9am. This results in people reserving spaces with chairs and then at 9am there’s a scramble to get sunbeds - right in the middle of the time where people want to be enjoying breakfast. People struggling to lift sunbeds off a tall pile with no help from the staff. Lifeguard is very attentive and quick to intervene around behaviours when needed. Kids club is grotty and run down. Room basic but modern, beds very squeaky every time you move, no drawers to keep clothing or other items. Some blocks have no lifts so you’re carrying your suitcase up to your room. Mountain View rooms are nice and quiet at night away from the entertainment. Never known a 4* hotel to charge for pool towels (in addition to a refundable deposit) or don’t provide a bottle of water in the room for arrival. Lovely resort tho, really great bars and restaurants outside the hotel - great for walking around would visit Porto Polensa again but not this hotel.

Good family hotel. Really lovely staff, very clean everywhere and the food is varied and good quality. Only the terrible wifi lets it down as it is that bad.
