Riu Palace Bonanza Playa

Just returned from a great week at the hotel. Very happy with everything from the room, cleanliness, the pool, access to the sea and location. The atmosphere in the hotel was excellent, pleasant reception and bar area with friendly staff. The breakfast area was well maintained with a good selection of quality food. The gym was well equipped with face towels available, it was quite hot but helped get a sweat on. We found the hotel and wider Illetas area to be very nice with a great selection of restaurants and shops to get water and snacks. We felt the price of food/ drinks in the hotel and local area was reasonable. It can be quite hilly which we enjoyed for walking and running. If you don’t like hills, there is a regular bus service that you can use your bank card to tap on. The bus runs into Palma which is also a nice place to spend the day or go for dinner.

We have just returned from a 5-night stay at Hotel Palace Bonanza Playa, and I honestly can't recommend it highly enough. This trip was a surprise 30th birthday present for my partner, and from the moment I contacted the hotel until right before our arrival, the team couldn't have been more helpful. A special thank you to Karin, who went above and beyond to help make the surprise perfect. She was so kind, responsive and thoughtful throughout. We travelled with our friends who were surprising my partner at the airport, and when I informed the hotel, they kindly arranged for our rooms to be next door to each other. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more enjoyable. They also had a lovely birthday surprise waiting in our room when we arrived also! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The pool area is so stunning, with incredible views over the sea and plenty of comfortable sunbeds. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The breakfast was one of the best we've had at any hotel, with a huge selection of fresh fruit, pastries and hot food. Every single member of staff we encountered was warm, friendly and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and want everyone to have the best possible stay. Our whole experience exceeded our expectations, and it's the little personal touches that really set this hotel apart from others we have stayed at. Thank you so much again to Karin and the entire team for helping make such a special trip even more memorable. We left with such wonderful memories and would recommend Hotel Palace Bonanza Playa to anyone visiting Mallorca. We already can't wait to come back!

I was turned away from the hotel restaurant because pants are mandatory! However, we were in a heatwave, and I had only brought shorts. Even though I was very well dressed with a nice shirt and nice shorts, it was impossible to enjoy this restaurant even though we were staying at the hotel. This forced us to go eat in the city center 30 minutes away every night. I found this type of policy completely inappropriate and very insulting. Even though the hotel is okay, I am giving this rating because of this lack of consideration.
