BQ Belvedere Hotel

We needed to stay due to a relatives’ accident at the airport and ended up staying for 4 weeks and “the BQ “ was much better than the Palma City hotel we went too before it ! The reception staff , in particular Alex , were absolutely brilliant in helping us with our additional needs - which were many. The Hotel is lovely and clean and the Pool area in particular is great ! The food is varied as other reviewers have said. The free transfer bus to Palma is a great option meaning you have the best of both worlds ( city and beach) and for us , the fact the hotel is very near to the 46 and 47 town bus stops, which went to the hospital too , was great. There was an issue with the English Channels not working on the TV which I raised and this was dealt with in a few days. I’m a cyclist ( but did no cycling whilst here) but the Hotel struck me as a very good option as it has a Bike Store and has bike hire at competitive rates.

I had the best time here. I visited alone for a week and I was placed in a single room with a pool view on the 9th floor. Stunning view doesn't do it justice. I decided half board was fine for me which meant I only paid for my drinks with my evening meal and a couple of beers by the pool when I fancied one (€3.10 for a standard beer/cana). There were always plenty of sun loungers to choose from but I enjoyed sitting on my balcony reading a book too as I could enjoy the music/atmosphere just as much from there. The entertainment team were fun and always getting people involved in aqua dance, etc. Good choice for food at both breakfast and evening meal, I doubled up on everything in the buffet restaurant and enjoyed it all! There was limited repetition throughout my week. I loved Mallorca (Alcudia) last time I visited in 2023 and was worried my second trip un Cala Major wouldn't live up to the memories I had of the island. This time round was even better and the hotel was nicely located to hop on a bus to visit Palma one of the days ☀️☺️
