Lovely hotel, beautiful scenery and exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, especially Perla, Aziz and Santiago.

My husband (who has a disability) and I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, and our experience was ruined by the appalling lack of professionalism, respect, and empathy from several staff members. At restaurant entrance, one of the employees, Ildefonso, targeted me after a minor mistake with a room number. He reprimanded me rudely and, since then, has completely ignored me, refusing to look at me or greet me, while selectively greeting other guests. The restaurant staff was very rude, when my husband asked for salt, another employee, Jose, responded extremely rudely, telling him to go get it himself on the other side of the room. I've never gotten such treatment in any hotel before. Regarding receptionist misconduct: the next day, when we asked to change rooms because we had reserved a partial ocean view, a receptionist made a mocking public comment about having to pay extra for a sea view, only to later give us the partial sea view room that we had already rightfully booked and paid for. As a caregiver, vacations should be a time to rest. Instead, we were subjected to repeated disrespect and hostility from multiple employees. A international hotel chain like Leonardo Royal should train its staff in basic hospitality, respect, and accessibility. Also the hotel's internet connection is extremely poor. The Wi-Fi signal barely works in the rooms and is non-existent in the pool area. This is NOT a 4 Star hotel. Extremely disappointing. We do not recommend this hotel
