Absolutely excellent stay had here by our family.
Perfect location being just a short walk from Cala Egos main centre, the beach barat Cal D'es Pou is stunning. The ting ting bus stops just outside of the hotel for a trip to Cala D'or which is great fun for the kids. Taxi was about 7 euro if you'd prefer.
The hotel was busy enough but not too cramped so we always had a sun lounger and a seat at the entertainment. Met some lovely people from all over.
Rooms are a little dated but they were kept clean and tidy, we literally only showered and slept in them so no issues for us.
Food was varied enough, not amazing but we never went hungry and the kids were always able to use the snack bar and get ice cream so they were over the moon.
Massive plus was the animation team and staff in the bars/restaurant. A MASSIVE shout out to Elias and Evita on the animation team who were great with both the kids and adults. Some of the day time games played were great fun and the night time entertainment was great. They also had some external entertainment that both adults and kids loved.
Also shout out to the pool bar staff who were great fun and always smiling. Roman, Paco and Matias for getting us on the !Chupitos!
We will 100% be back.

I was worried due to the reviews. however it wasn't as bad as some people have experienced. Yes the room we had absolutely reeked of damp/mould. you could clearly see where the mould had been painted over. The rooms definitely need an upgrade.
This was our only major downside. The pools and entertainment were great. The animation team and mini club were lovely and all the activities put on were enjoyable.
We had an all inclusive package. the selection of drinks was great, including nice enough cocktails. The food let it down slightly, there was plenty of food including the snack bar during the day but i didn't feel there was enough variety for the children. There was only ever pizza chips and pasta for fussy eaters. The breakfast was ok.
Also i didn't see any Spanish dishes on offer. No Paella or tapas food anywhere to be seen.
We actually ventured out for those during the week.
The location was good. a short walk to the small beach and to other restaurants, bars and shops.
There is also the stop for the ting ting train directly outside the hotel which is around 5 euro for adults and 3.50 for children for an hour round trip.
All in all we had a lovely time, but you definitely get what you pay for. The only reason i would go back would be for the pools and the animation team.

We only went self catering so can't comment on the food. We brought a few drinks from the bar which were pretty good. We were 2 adults so can't comment on the kids clubs or entertainment etc, but the playground and 2 kids pool areas looked great and I know our two would have loved them when they were younger. The main pool was nice and it was good that there is a gradual drop as you walk in and it never got that deep that I could not stand. I am a little dubious about the life guards though as whenever I looked at them they were on their mobile phones and not looking at the water!! There seemed to be plenty of sunbeds but not sure what it would be like out of season. The water is salty.
The staff we encountered were all very friendly and pleasant.
ROOMS
We upgraded to a 'superior' ground floor pool access apartment (1702) which was in a fantastic location as you could just walk out onto the pool area, plus it had a patio & grass area with a couch & sunbed. Sadly the couch was not much use when we head a heavy downpour of rain as it soaks the water up and takes days to dry out. It was obviously quite noisy during the day as you are right next to the pool area. The room itself was OK, not what I would call 'superior' but then maybe it is for a 3 star hotel. The patio door leaked quite badly when it rained, there was staining & damp on the walls, the light in the bathroom was very poor, the shower fitting was rusty, there was no mirror anywhere other than the bathroom. Not the end of the world but just a bit disappointing when we paid for an upgrade, although as I said it was a good location so it was worth it for that. Unfortunately our air conditioning stopped working 2 nights before the end of our holiday so we had to move rooms. The gave us a first floor superior (1705) which was spacious and had a very large balcony, the bathroom was better lit but again rusty shower and this time VERY small compared to our other shower with a very strange glass wall section that was visible in the entrance area, frosted glass yes, but strange all the same as you can see the persons silhouette. Although the showers were rusty they were very powerful and we always had hot water although again it was salty. Again no mirror in the bedroom so I would assume they don't have them as a rule. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of bedding. The cleaners change the towels and bedding and empty bins, but I am pretty sure they do not mop the floors as our feet always got very dirty after our shower. The towels are small but you can hire pool towels from the reception for a small deposit so you could always get a couple of those if you wanted bigger towels.
WI-FI
We struggled to get any signal in the rooms which resulted in not being able to use the Netflix etc. We had to go to reception or near the back fence to be able to get a signal to make calls or send texts. I could not even get a signal half the time using my data roaming so it might just be the location.
LOCATION
Fantastic location, a few minutes walk across the road from reception to a really nice beach with a great bar which serves great drinks and breakfast/lunch. Sunbeds & umbrellas available for a small fee (17 Euro for 2 beds & umbrella), there are not that many so you will need to get there quite early, the man arrived at 9.15-9.30 to unlock them. The toilets on the beach were not great but you can use those in the bar. Several bars, restaurants and shops are within a 5 minute walk and are pretty good. Highly recommend Tonys Gastro Bar, great food, drinks & very friendly staff. Yates was also good fun at night as they had Karaoke and the food and drinks were nice and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly especially Carlos. The Marina is about a 10-15 minute easy walk away which also has some lovely restaurants, then a further 10-15 minutes brings you to Cala D'or centre which has a massive selection of bars, restaurants and shops too. There is a reasonably priced little train that runs every hour to and from Cala D'or but it has a break between about 2pm & 4pm and the last train back is approx. 9pm. There is an on-site supermarket but it is pretty basic and sparse, but there are 2 Spa supermarket's nearby which have a much bigger selection.
All in all we had a lovely holiday and would return.
