Costa d'Or

This lovely hotel is in a stunning location away from the tourist crowds. It is located in a small and peaceful hamlet that you will find as you meander your way up the winding road towards Deia. The views were just spectacular, the staff and service was just right, the food was delicious and, the best part for us, is that it was an adult only hotel! We were however disappointed with the room. We didn't go for the cheapest and we did have a small balcony with a sea view, which was beautiful! The room was small and felt cramped for a one week stay and the furniture looked cheap and charmless. It felt as if the room could have easily been straight out of the 'Premier Inn or Holiday Inn' catalogue. Bath towels, which we always use as a guide to how good a hotel is, were also disappointingly small and not big and fluffy. This surprised us for the price point and we'd read the hotel had been refurbished fairly recently. We have become quite discerning after many years of travelling and I guess we do have high standards and expectations, but at this price point, we have certain standards that we have come to expect. Didn't quite understand why you were expected to go to reception desk for a pool towel each day. Would also have liked waiters to have had a proactive rather than reactive presence around the pool area for drink orders during the day. Having said ALL this, we would be very happy to return to this charming and perfectly located hotel. It's ideal for a long lazy weekend, and with plenty of flights from London, and the drive from Palma airport less than an away, it is a really easy and straight forward journey.

We have visited as a couple for a 2-day stay in June 2025. The stay in Majorca was horrible for many reasons, but this hotel stay was the only redeeming highlight to the trip. Charming propertry, in full countryside, very quiet and peaceful. You will not find any blasting music, water slides or a sea of concrete. Surrounded with ancient olive trees, beautifully maintained gardens. We had a large room with a view of the garden, seating area, large storage in ante room, big bathroom. Included breakfast was amazing, buffet style with lots of choice. Evening meal was also very good, on the terrace, overlooking the pool. Peaceful and serene, you can literally watch the full sunset over the sea. Only issue was a strange choice of having an internal window from the shower into the bedroom? Also worth noting that parking was somewhat challenging if you are not used to tight parking spots, as you have to navigate between the trees to park. Also the route to the hotel after dark can be a bit intimidating because it is very narrow and there is no lights, the little path that hotel was at the end of was not very well signposted so we managed to miss it couple times. You will also need to drive or get a taxi in order to go anywhere like shops or village, it is not walkable at all. Highly recommended if you want to have a relaxing quiet retreat

Great trip for eclipse in August 2026. Hotel is beautiful and set cliff side. Gorgeous view of the Balearic Sea. Our room faced the sea with a balcony. Great bed and bathroom. The breakfast buffet was delicious and also had an omelet station. The chef at the hotel is really good. Food was delicious. There is a somewhat treacherous walk to go play in the sea. It’s awesome. Once you get down- you can float, bob, or snorkel. There is even a cave right by the ladder. Biggest downside is transportation. You are relatively secluded at the resort and leaving can be expensive and problematic. But we found that Uber is much more reliable than taxi service. But- Hoposa is a great resort to unwind and slow down.
