I must say I expected more. We booked the "deluxe" apartment, which is the most expensive one, but the experience was for from deluxe. The feeling was like we were boxed in, the ceilings were low and far below than in the rooms on the other floors (as far as I could see when passing by an open door). The room itself is smaller than the enormous terrace which could have been twice smaller and would still feel large. On the other hand, the view was phenomenal. The turndown service was very good and cordial, but the room was quite worn out - from the furniture to the shower. The general impression is that a fix up is at least a year overdue. Also, the soundproofing is non-existant. At night, you hear almost all remotely louder sounds from the adjoining rooms. We loved the pool, it's really nice and we really loved how easy it was to rent a car. You just tell the nice staff at the reception when you would like to hire a car and they set up a meeting with the rental company representative who comes to the hotel with keys ready. The rental prices were fair and absolutely no hidden costs were attached. The whole Joan Miró concept, in my opinion, is used only to put a famous name on an otherwise averagely equipped hotel, but the professionalism of the staff who work there, the location and the amenities make up for that.

We were traveling as a group of 17 people and had quite a few organizational things to clarify in advance. I found not only the reception staff to be extremely helpful, but really everyone I had contact with before our arrival. Everything was also perfectly organized on-site – from the transfer and the issuing of room keys upon arrival to breakfast, the pool, etc. Everything was very clean, the rooms were nice, our special requests were taken into account, and all the staff were remarkably friendly and helpful. I can recommend the hotel without reservation if you are planning a vacation in Palma but do not want to stay right in the middle of the Ballermann madness. The beach in Cala Major is also incredibly beautiful and clean. We felt completely at home and would come back anytime!

Second stay at this hotel and would recommend. Staff are unbelievably helpful and location is good for Palma city and Cala Major beach and Restaurants. Hotel does excellent breakfasts and food and drinks throughout the day. The pool is a good size and there is plenty of space with ample sunbeds and umbrellas.
