Hotel Rural Parc de Canet

I was there a few days ago with my friends, and the experience was wonderful. Very well located, and easy access, without noise or crowds, so we could rest. The rooms were huge and taken care of with great detail. Breakfast was good to start the day. And Ana was very pleasant and attentive to us. So it is highly recommended.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time here. The property is spacious, with animals and plenty of activities for children, making it a great place for families. The rooms are large, and the breakfast service and staff were excellent throughout our stay. However, the property would benefit from some much-needed maintenance. While some of the wear and tear adds character, several issues require more urgent attention. During our stay, the pool ladder was loose, the children’s seesaw was broken, and our shower doors did not close properly. We also noticed a strong musty smell in the bathroom, which at times was quite unpleasant, as well as a similar odor when the water playground was running. When we mentioned some of these issues, the manager remarked that they were “just three of a thousand things that need fixing.” We appreciate the candid response, but it also highlights the need for a clear maintenance plan. Addressing broken and potentially unsafe items first would make a big difference to the guest experience. It’s a shame because this place has so much potential. With some investment in upkeep and repairs, it could be truly outstanding.

We recently stayed for two nights at loftOtel Canet in Esporles, booking the Loft Marron and Loft Amber cottages. There were several disappointing aspects to our stay. A number of facilities listed in the accommodation description were either unavailable or not as advertised, including a tea/coffee maker, iron, microwave, satellite TV channels, cable channels, and barbecue facilities. The cottage contained a teapot, but it was missing its lid. We also found that both cottages were situated directly alongside the main road, where traffic noise continued throughout the night and significantly affected the peaceful atmosphere we had expected. The Wi-Fi connection was very poor throughout our stay, making it difficult to use reliably. Another point worth noting is that the shower room connected to the bedroom has no door, which some guests may find lacking in privacy. In the dining area, several of the seat cushions were covered in cat hair. While animal lovers may not be concerned, some guests could find this unhygienic and off-putting, particularly in an area where food is served. On the positive side, the property has a unique and quirky character. The décor is somewhat unusual, with double beds positioned around the gardens and patios, but it certainly creates a distinctive setting. We particularly enjoyed seeing the animals around the grounds, including geese, a donkey, a pony, and rabbits roaming freely. Breakfast was simple but adequate, consisting of croissants, toast, cheeses, cold meats, fruit, juice, and cereal. Guests are also offered cooked eggs on request. However, breakfast does not begin until 8:30 a.m., which may be inconvenient for families with young children or guests planning early day trips and excursions. Overall, loftOtel Canet offers a rustic and charming environment with some appealing countryside touches, but we felt that the experience fell short of expectations. Missing advertised facilities, poor Wi-Fi, roadside traffic noise, cleanliness concerns in the dining area, and the late breakfast service all detracted from our stay. Given these issues, we felt the accommodation was overpriced for what was actually provided and did not represent the value we had anticipated.
