Very nicely located hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately completely understaffed ... on vacation, I do not want to have to get everything myself and stand in a queue for hours for a drink. As far as the dining is concerned, there is certainly a lot of room for improvement ... not very varied, the food is mostly cold and prepared relatively without love ... the same food is served almost every day. However, what we have never experienced in a hotel before is that some drinks ran out ... what was no longer there was simply not available anymore. An absolute no-go, especially when you have booked and paid for all-inclusive! We felt sorry for the staff ... they had to listen to the complaints, even though they were not to blame for it. Absolutely bad, unprofessional hotel management!!! We would not recommend this hotel! The beach promenade is enchanting, however, and has a lot to offer.

The hotel is fundamentally well-designed and the location is excellent. Within about a minute, you can reach both the beach and the promenade – ideal for a relaxing beach vacation. The staff is also truly exceptionally friendly, helpful, and warm-hearted. The room cleaning was also always very thorough and reliable. Unfortunately, it is quite evident that the hotel has aged significantly. Our apartment was heavily worn, with many pieces of furniture scratched and shabby. Particularly in the bathroom, it was noticeable that the coating of the toilet seat and the flush had seen better days. From our perspective, there has been a clear need for renovation for some time now. The food was acceptable in taste, but very monotonous. Basically, the same dishes were served every day, just arranged a bit differently. It is worth noting that the meat selection changed daily. Unfortunately, during our stay, there were several power outages, some lasting over nine hours. With the high outside temperatures, this was very burdensome without a functioning air conditioning system in the rooms. Along with the power, the water supply also failed, so there was neither water from the taps nor did the toilet flush work. While surrounding hotels were already provided with emergency power, our hotel seemed to be considered very late. Here, we would have expected significantly more engagement and better communication from the management. The entertainment has also changed compared to earlier times. In the past, the program was also offered in German, but now it takes place almost exclusively in English. Additionally, the evening program was not very varied: During our stay from Friday to Friday, an acrobatics show was performed on four evenings. Here, we would have wished for significantly more variety. Since the change of management, the audience has also noticeably changed. The hotel is now increasingly frequented by guests from Eastern Europe, which has significantly altered the atmosphere compared to earlier times. Overall, we still had a pleasant stay, especially thanks to the very friendly staff. However, the hotel and the apartments urgently need renovation, and there is also a need for improvement in organization during exceptional situations.

I stayed at R2 Lago Playa Park for a week for professional reasons and must say that it far exceeded my expectations of a family hotel in Cala Ratjada. I chose this place because of its good location and do not regret it. The room was comfortable, clean and had a balcony, individual air conditioning, smart TV and everything you need to work quietly. The hotel is very well maintained, with beautiful gardens and just steps from Son Moll beach – ideal for a sunset walk after meetings. The facilities are excellent: two outdoor pools (one with children's area) and a heated indoor pool. I used the spa with jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath a lot to relax after work days, and the gym is well equipped to keep up the routine. The buffet in the restaurant is varied, with fresh options and show cooking; the food is good and plentiful. What impressed me most, even as a solo traveler, was the animation and entertainment. The team is very dynamic and professional: there are activities and games during the day, live shows in the evening, music and varied performances that create a good atmosphere without being intrusive. You can see that they tend to the leisure time for all ages. The mini club deserves special mention: although I was travelling alone, I watched how it works and it is impressive. The supervisors are loving and very attentive, they organize crafts, games, mini disco and fun activities. The children are happy and busy all day, so the families (and the observers) can enjoy the peace and quiet of the hotel. This is clearly one of the great strengths of the resort. In summary, a highly recommended hotel: good value for money, attentive staff and a cheerful but relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for both families and anyone looking for comfort and distraction on a business trip. I would come back anytime. 100% recommended.
