Quiet charming hotel with lovely and helpful management. Breakfasts excellent. Take care when driving the access by car. Narrow roads and hairpins everywhere. Nothing not to like about des Puig

Lovely hotel in the heart of Deia which is absolutely serene. An exceptional location to visit in Mallorca - 2-3 nights is perfect as it's a very tiny village but magical to really get to know all of the alleys and spectacular buildings shadowed by the mountains. View-wise you can't go wrong, every window in Deia either looks up at the mountains or out towards the sea. This is a charming little property - one of only 3 hotels in Deia. It's opposite La Residencia which is in another category but certainly visit for drinks or dinner, it's welcoming.The middle option is Hotel Es Moli where I have also stayed - it's 10 minute walking lower than Deia - but the major advantage is that it has space and land, and a shuttle to a private cove which is lovely as this is a pretty landlocked village even though close to the coast - there isn't much access. I would suggest booking a cheaper double at Puig - they are more modern and better value. I would happily recommend this place to anyone - with the caveat that is is understaffed (hotel honestly system at the bar), and not the most friendly/sophistacated of hotels (the maids run in front of you as breakfast opens to grab their haul of pasteries to take to the staff room!!) . The reception/ social areas play ghastly hotel lobby music which lands over the pool area - which cheapens the experience and the whole place screams out for just a little more 'cool'... It hosts lots of cycle groups and the character of the building and the spectacular view hold strong. Just missing that warmth and character of amazing hospitality staff.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel des Puig. Everything about the hotel was great, from the cleanliness and comfort to the overall atmosphere. The customer service really stood out, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Parking is a little tricky, because the spots are very narrow
