Good hotel, but be careful with rooms 65 and 74.
This is the second year we have come as a group of 14 to 16 swimmers to enjoy the turquoise waters of the local beaches, and overall, Hotel Menorca Binibeca is a pleasant hotel with good pools and a restaurant.
However, this year I got a room with a strong sewage smell. I informed the front desk after the first night, and they responded that they were surprised it was happening. Interestingly, last year a couple of friends from our group had exactly the same problem. When I returned in the afternoon, despite the fact that they had cleaned with bleach, the room still smelled very strong.
We have learned that both room 65 and room 74 have this problem. If after more than a year it has not been resolved, it must be a difficult malfunction to fix. What I find unacceptable is that these rooms continue to be sold as if nothing is wrong, and when a customer complains, they are told that it is "strange" for this to happen, when it is clearly a known and recurring problem. If you insist a lot and there is availability, they will change your room; if not, you have to put up with it.
My recommendation: the hotel is good, but specifically request not to be assigned room 65 or room 74.
