Magnificent and new rooms,attention of their owners and situation.It is the best of the options you can have in the area. They have an establishment in Plaza Bar la Cabaña highly recommended, toast, rations, meats and a special dessert torrija.

central location in the town, close to the main road and to the square, neat and clean with tasty breakfast.. However, the biggest surprise was the dinner.. Top class 3 course meal with fine ingredients that i still remember. If you are in town , try a tandem paragliding flight with flypiedrahita (Steve & Puri) and go to the public pool by the palace( 5 min walk), with great views of the paragliding mountains.

We saw an ad for this hotel along the road, so we decided to give it a try. It was excellent - very quiet and clean at 48 Euros a night. Parking was free and easy on the street in front of the hotel. The town itself is a gem with a pretty plaza where they were holding their weekly market and the estate of the Gran Duque of Alba (now a school). The gardens there were nice leading up to abandoned ruins. The most exciting thing in town were the many occupied black stork nests on their yearly migration from northern Africa. We saw them by the dozens. We had excellent tapas at a bar on the plaza. We wish we had stayed here longer and enjoyed the peace of the small town environment and mountains. Also, the drive here through the mountains from Plasencia was spectacular through orchards of blooming cherry trees.
