Thought i would write a review as I know there are many reviews on here and social media that are mainly either extremely good (because they have been 5 or 6 times before) or very negative. This is an honest review of a family of two adults and two kids (20 months and 5 years). Area We have been to Menorca before but stayed in Calan Bosch which is some distance from this area. We chose this based on the stunning views, the good reviews and Menorca is always a safe bet for families. The scenery is stunning, the hotel is on the top of a cliff overlooking the coves and surrounded by sea from all angles, im not sure you'll find a better location. Cala'n Forcat itself is nice, the area immediately outside the hotel is slightly run down with a number of closed down shops but this isnt the hotels fault, just let's the area down slightly. Once past these there is a nice town with numerous bars, restaurants and play areas for kids. We didn't go to the restaurants around but would recommend Bar Mactub and Jimmy hills, good atmosphere friendly staff and good drinks! The shops around are nice, pretty standard souvenirs and prices seemed reasonable. We also went to the waterpark on the final day, one one gripe with this is check the height of your kid before you go. There are big slides in the waterpark and before you go in I didnt see any signs about height restrictions (we went to a hotel in ibiza with slides last year and there was none). It wasn't until we got in and went to the slides where it was discovered that my child was slightly too small and couldn't go on any which was frustrating, there are some other slides though and a kids bit. Travel and accomodation I'll be honest, it wasn't a good start. Our bus driver crashed on a roundabout en route to the hotel which delayed us getting in. I think the transfer is normally about an hour but it was a lot longer because of this. The hotel itself is lovely, very clean, staff were very accommodating and I had absolutely no complaints about the hotel. They had just started their token for drinks system whereby you get token for the amount of people in your party. We got three as the baby didn't get one, we found this was ok, it makes sense why they do it and it is only for the outside bar or when you wish to take them back to your room. We actually found a cup outside the hotel and traded it in for a token so we had 4! (Sorry Globales). The two drink policy is slightly frustrating, we didn't really have an issue as the bar staff tended to just give a warning that you can only normally get two, but then serve you however many you have asked for anyway but I could imagine it being annoying. The room We had a standard room with a sea view. We had a double bed (two singles) our 5 year old had a single and the toddler had a travel cot. The rooms aren't massive, they were adequate but cosy. We liked the room, the view was lovely and the bathroom and shower were good. The air con wasn't the best, it worked but was more like having a fan than an air con! Food and drink As mentioned above, we stayed at a hotel in Ibiza last year and our main issue with it was the food. It was cold and never replenished. Absolutely not the case here, we found that breakfast lunch and dinner were always well stocked with chefs regularly bringing fresh food out regardless of the time (we often didn't get down to breakfast until half 9 and still was fresh). Lunch we eat mainly at the snack bar, we did eat inside a couple of times but found that the options werent as kid friendly. The snack bar has fresh burgers, hotdogs, chips and salads and always hit the spot. I think many have said here, there wasn't an abundance of choice at dinner time but what was there was very nice. We didn't struggle any night but I think if our kids were fussier we may have. There isnt a dedicated kids section so sometimes it was a bit of a struggle but we found something they would eat every night. The theme nights tend to be just one table or area with the theme, again these were tasty I just wish there was more! We went the wednesday before the kids broke up for school, we noticed it was considerably busier at the end of our holiday but had no issue with queues. The drinks were good, not shy with their measurements although the spirits aren't the strongest. The beer is Mahou and is lovely, there is a self pour tap in the snack bar and restaurant for both beer and soft drinks. Bring a bottle for yourself and kids, there are water stations on every floor which we found was brilliant especially for the kids and ourselves in the heat. Pool People have been moaning about sunbed wars on here. This is an all inclusive hotel that caters for families. If you are not bothered about where you are then dont bother going down to get your desired spot, the area for sunbeds is huge and im sure you could probably always get them. I went down every morning at about quarter to 9 and queued for 15 minutes before the doors were opened. I got the same spot by the kids pool every day of the holiday. At that time, the kids were up anyway and we were getting ready for breakfast so it was no skin off my nose going down and queuing for 15 minutes. As I said, if you dont care about where you are then go down later. For us it was improtant given our kids ages. The pools are salt water, you get used to this after a few swims although when you first get in it does sting and our little one wasn't a fan (after a day we couldn't get him out). The main pool is very deep, with it being salt water you did tend to float though. There is a pool near the pool bar that is shallower and then the kids pool is around a foot or two deep with a small slide. There are a lot of steps around and very few ramps which means you need to be selective with how to get around. You can access two levels of the pool via ramps but cant get to the upper levels or the walk around to see the coves. The glass lift in the lobby only takes you to reception and doesn't take you to the pool. The cove Beautiful, the sea is shallow for a good way out and there are jumping in points and pool steps scattered around. Bring your goggles because the sea life is beautiful there. What I would say is that it would be very difficult/ impossible to access with a pram or disability because it is all steps. Summary A brilliant hotel in a lovely location. Not masses for kids here but probably enough if you kids like the pool and a small slide. Food is lovely but as I said there isnt huge amounts of choice but what you get is fresh and tastes great. The area is good, slightly run down but loads to do and a 10 minute bus ride to the citudella. We will 100% be back to this hotel, probably when the toddler is a bit older and we dont need a pram.

My mother and my daughter (teenager) stayed at this hotel in mid-July for 1 week. The hotel is very pleasant, clean, and ideally located on the island with a splendid view. The dining area is very decent, even if it obviously remains all-inclusive. The big downside is the entertainment: the activity leaders seemed very uninvested, or even unpleasant at times ("sunset" outing where the leader walked very fast, without interacting with the vacationers, and seemed "annoyed"... My mother was afraid of getting lost during this walk because the leader was going so fast). Few activities are offered and several families were disappointed on this point, which is nevertheless important (the leader in charge of water aerobics, however, was very friendly... The only one). The hotel staff is very kind, but the front desk staff could be defensive when questions were asked.... Overall, they were happy with their vacation, but we do not plan to book through Fram again, especially considering the entertainment, which remains an often important part, especially with children/teens.
