Maribel

We arrived at Maribel to a lovely calm non intimidating complex compared to stop before us. First thing was how clean everything was. Checked out the small nearby supermarkets to stock up on water and essentials then made way to pool area. So the pool seems to be a topic of discussion in reviews. Honestly, we thoroughly enjoyed the authenticity of having locals. They keep to themselves but are pleasant. The pool can get busy but generally dies down again. I found when it was too hot and id go to the appartment to cool around 2pm-3pm is when it was at busiest with locals. Id come back later and it was fine. There where always plenty of loungers but not always with umbrella so we did tend to go down around 10 or 11am for a swim and kept our lounger for the day. Able to go to the tables behind for food and return. I felt much safer here especially at beaches and at night time than in Greece. We used local beach but then found really secluded local spot at Platja Grand. 5 mins away on bus which stops at appartments. Spend an evening in Ciutedella old town again using bus. All very easy. The complex has a small strip/parade behind it and going down to sea with restaurants so plenty of choice but the pizzas at Maribel where the best. This is such an idealic place for families, single parents or couples looking for a very chilled holiday. Infact, Id happily return on my own!

Excellent!! Well arrived at lunch time on a Saturday the restaurants were busy and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying the food. We stayed in an apartment which the receptionist took us to a two minute walk. Self catering. We got a taxi for €10 euro to Aldi and filled the apartment for €100 for a family of five. The apartment was super clean beds were comfortable air con was spot on in every room. Large balcony that we could leave the lilos on every night. The cleaner was lovely and changed our towels on Tuesday. There is a broom And mop and bucket washing up liquid tea towels all kitchen utensils. We had one lunch meal in the restaurant which was very reasonable and lovely food. The pool area was very clean the bar staff were friendly, the bar is expensive for drinks so we bought cans and bottles of water from the on site shop for €1 we walked a four minute walk to the cove with small area of sand and jumped off the rocks into the sea. Kids loved it. You can purchase a bed and umbrella for €10 for the day or just lay on your towel for free. Everyone was so friendly and the Spain and France game was on the place was packed with people and everyone was enjoying themselves. Great for families. Arcade ball ply area very clean toilets super friendly staff happy to help and speak English. We are returning for sure.

Superb service both before and during the stay. Very friendly and always offering solutions to all our questions. The apartment was super clean and new. Right in front of the bus stop and a 24-hour medical center. Supermarket is also very close. Great! Kindness, attention, respect.
