We had a fantastic stay overall and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were lovely, everything was clean and well maintained, and the pool area is stunning.
The only thing that stopped it from being a perfect stay was the atmosphere. Although the pool area is gorgeous, it felt very quiet and lacked any real ambience. We found it difficult to spend much time there during the day because it felt a little flat. Even some low-level background music around the pool would make a huge difference and create a much more enjoyable, relaxing vibe.
We’re also keen gym users, and the gym was a little disappointing. It’s only really large enough for a handful of people. We were a group of five, and when other guests were already using it, it became overcrowded very quickly. We often had to queue for equipment, and there wasn’t enough free floor space to use the exercise mats for bodyweight workouts. Adding some background music here would also improve the experience.
These are relatively small points, and we genuinely had a wonderful holiday. With a little more atmosphere around the pool and some improvements to the gym, this hotel would be exceptional.
