Location
Prinsotel is located in a quiet bend on a coastal road. It takes around 45mins to 1 hour via a shared coach transfer to reach it from the airport. Very near the hotel (toward the rear of the hotel) is a dirt path with very uneven and rough terrain steps to help guide you toward a rock beach (there is no sand there except big boulders with some.flatter rocks) where you can take your towel and place them there and go swimming in the most exquisite cove! There isn't an awful lot to do near the hotel. Having a car would be greatly beneficial as you can get around and see more of this beautiful island. We tried the local taxi last and tp get to Cuitadella cost €6.85 one way and took around 8 minutes. If you wanted to get to the airport it would be €75 each way.
Atmosphere
There were many people staying here at Prinsotel but the design of the hotel with the various buildings dispersed the noise levels. The swimming pool has a great design of interlinked circles with varying depths but suitable for swimming as it never seemed to get over crowded. There os a pool bar/restaurant called Salt & Co which serves food between 10am and 5pm and drinks between 10am and 11pm. The reception has a large seating area air conditioned which is comfortable and spacious to allow people space to sit in there and chat. The restaurant where we ate breakfast and dinner is located downstairs (2 flights) near the reception. They had themed dinners every night we were there. I think they have an 7 day rolling menu.
Rooms
We had 2 ground floor interconnected rooms in Block 2 on the back end of the building away from the pool so the rooms were quiet. They were very spacious with a large bed. There was a large screen TV, kettle and coffee machine (some coffees and teas and a carton of water were supplied on arrival but once used were not topped up, fridge (ours weren't working). The bathroom had a walk in shower with rainfall shower head and a smaller higher pressure shower head and worked well. Large mirror over the hand basin and toilet. They supplied hand, bath towels and towel to place on floor outside the shower. The room service is requested by a touch pad by the air conditioning thermostat, which you pressed either do not disturb sign(red) or the green clean my room button. As well as swimming towels (which you could refresh at any time.with the lifeguard on duty at the swimming pool.
Food
The food was varied and plentiful. Very tasty and had MANY options for various palates. Many amazing dishes that left you talking about them for the rest of the evening. It was the guest's not the hotel nor the staff that made meal times annoyingly tense and many people were pushy and shoved passed you to get food as if it was running away. The staff working are super friendly and helpful. Drinks for the evening meal were NOT included in our Half Board status (be aware of that). We chose to pay for our drinks as we got them but you could also run a tab on your room number and pay for them all at the end.
Staff
The staff at Prinsotel were all very friendly and welcoming. They were helpful every time we asked anything they tried where they could to help.
Resort amenities
The resort has 2 swimming pools we only tried and used the larger or the two but there is another on the site. There are also 2 other restaurant or eateries one near the main restaurant called The Grill and the other on the other side of the site called Picco. You can go eat at these places a la carte they both looked lovely and if the quality of the food we ate was anything to go by you would have good food.
There was also a tennis court (we didn't use it), a gym within the main reception building, a kids club (which runs activities daily shown on the massive chalkboard showing all the resort activities and their timings in chalk so sometimes little hands rubbed some of them out slightly but were soon rlwlced by staff). Activities in the pool aqua aerobics, water carpet (for kids and some brave great parents), evening entertainment which was fab, as World Cup Football was on they screened some games in the pool bar. There is an air hockey table and a pool table too near the main pool.
Supermarket
There is a well stocked supermarket across the road from the resort where you can buy many many items from food, snacks, floatation devices for the sea, sun cream, souvenirs, snorkel devices, goggles, and many other things. Very hand and again staff are friendly. Supermarket opening hours 8am til 10pm daily.
We had a WONDERFUL stay at Prinsotel and would highly recommend staying here. But if you want to do stuff hire a car and you can go explore. We needed a chilled relaxed holiday and we had that.
WiFi at the hotel can be patchy and kept disconnecting us which meant we used our data unknowingly so check you are connected everyday and you will be fine.
We had an issue with power to our rooms and our toilet but this was swiftly sorted out by the hotel.
Thank you Prinsotel for a lovely holiday. We had a wonderful time 🥰

Reception very friendly. Hotel room very clean & modern.
We stayed in room 2108 which had semi view of the pool area. Nice.
We were bed & breakfast. Breakfast had a vast selection but we found the hot food just lukewarm. Other reviews have confirmed this. So an omelette cooked in front of you is the way ahead. The hotel is a bit isolated if you required an evening meal where you would only find around five restaurants. I had my best birthday meal at the Bahia with fabulous views across the estuary at sunset. Other alternative is taxi to Ciutadella where you’ll find lots of nice restaurants.
