Vistamar

The bedsit was very very clean. Nice big bathroom with plenty of hot water. Two lumpy twin beds on one wall near the door and a kitchen area on opposite wall. I was naive in thinking there was a separate bedroom. There was no kettle because a kettle trips the electric switch so was not allowed, instead it was deemed safe practice to boil water in a pan and use a ladle to pour the water into your pot or cup....bonkers!!!!! No TV either. The wifi did work well. The cleaning/linen change service was good. Lovely view from the balcony. The pool was clean and the outside area nicely kept. The nearby supermarkets were poor and food was sooooo expensive. I never tried the Vistamar restaurant as the smell of fried fish everyday didn't smell pleasant. The main thing that I found really annoying was the 8 hours a day boom boom boom thump thump boom boom boom of the drum and base "music" from the bar on the ground floor which traveled up the walls and gave you a headache. The overall sound proofing was very poor......you could hear constant furniture scraping on the floors, toilet flushing, coughing etc... The reception ladies were helpful and pleasant. The bus goes from outside the apartments. The sandy beach has washed away....but no worries you can do a short walk to the nudist beach for a good laugh. Sant Tomas in May was like a retirement village by the sea, quite up market but full of bored old men wandering along the prom. There is nothing to do unless you walk, in which case it is wonderful because of the cami 14 and 15 trails.

Overall we had lovely experience. Room was very clean, from pool you can see the sea, air con was amazing and staff were friendly. We had 3 people and only two beds with one sofa bed which wasn't ideal and only one small pillow per bed but the staff quickly got us some more upon request which was muchly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again and recommend for both families and couples, it was a lovely holiday.

I am so happy with vistamar hotel Menorca !!! We paid for half board and let me tell you that the breakfast is the closest to an english full breakfast i have ever had in a foriegn country , the evening meals , wow no buffet , meaning a personally made 3 course dish made to an exceptionally high standard . The hotel is managed by a group of 25 to 30 yr old staff , and i must admit that alarm bells were ringing, but let me tell you this FAI MIRIAM REDA MIGUEL...... All provided the highest standard of food and service tgat i have recieved in a very long time. Very proffesional , very friendly. I must insist if ypu want to go to st tomas please consider vistamar hotel Regards Steve Phillips
