Albatros And Arona Playa

Mar de Cristal is a great place if you're after somewhere quiet. I stayed with my wife and teenage son.I gather it's the type of place the Spanish prefer to holiday so, don't expect rows of shops and restaurants like larger resorts. There are a few local (walking distance) places to eat, a fantastic beach with warm sea running knee deep for yards out to sea, a Spar and couple of beach cafes. If you want more than two quiet weeks on the beach, be prepared to travel (Cartagena and the harbour at Cape Pallos are really worth a visit). Albatros itself is alo very well kept up and, for mid August, quiet too!! Couldn't knock anything; well kept pool, never over busy. No free wifi (an issue for teenagers but, 4g works), plenty of parking and, if the occasional fly is a pain, get some spray from the Spar!!
