Superaticos

Spent a week 17 May 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Our evening flight meant we would not arrive till midnight. I contacted the Office about key collection and they could not have been more helpful. Great big apartment, 2 bedrooms and bed settee in Lounge. Galley kitchen but had all the crockery and utensils to cater for 6. Large balcony with furniture and washing machine and sink. 50 yards from Mar Menor and 250yds from the Med.It even has a swimming pool. Lovely restful time as the Spanish consider May to be still wintertime. It was 25 to 30 degrees each day. Not the place to go if you want Partying and Nightclubs at this time of the year. A car a necessity to get around. Visit Cartagena and see the Ampitheatre, the National Park north of San Javier and see the Flamingos, Go fossil hunting at the Regional Park Calblanque. We will return soon for R & R.

We booked a holiday to here last week through a travel company. We hired a car and drove to La Manga. When we got there it was like a ghost town. When we eventually found the apartments they were totally closed up and looked like they were empty. We asked a local in the only supermarket open and she said that the office for them was across the road. We were not informed of this through the travel company!!! We were there shortly after 1pm ant the office was closed!! We then had to wait for 4 hours until the office opened again! It was shocking!!The woman said that she had been open at 1pm but clearly she wasnt there. She was extremely rude and not helpfull at all. The apartments were disgusting and the rest of the building was infact empty! We couldnt possibly have stayed in an empty apartment block. We then drove to Benidorm and paid extra for a hotel there. Thankfully we had hired a car and not taken a transfer bus or we would have been stranded!! We phoned the travel company and complained but they were not helpful either.. Please DO NOT go to this resort as we were mis sold the whole holiday. It is a horrible place...We wil certanly not be using Ice lolly or Deals of the day holidays in future either!!!!!
