Hotel Restaurante Avion

Small but adequate room was clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Walked to the airport in the morning. Appreciated the fan in the room because it was hot and there was no air conditioning. Wi-fi was weak.

Very small room, very hot and humid like the rest of the hotel. Total absence of air conditioning or climate control in the rooms. No fridge in the room. No remote control for the TV. A simple fan thrown into the room to survive. I had never seen such a situation; breakfast costs 15 euros for two, of a lower quality than a café where I can get a decent cappuccino and pastry for 6 or 7 euros for two. Restaurant absent, or rather closed for months. Very far from the center, making it very inconvenient because it takes half an hour by bus to reach the center/port/station/restaurants and shops each time. Vigo is not flat; you go up to return and go down to exit, which makes the distance from the center a disadvantage. For just a few euros more, it is better to stay close to the center.

We only stayed overnight after a music festival and everything was fine until 9 a.m. the cleaning girls were in charge of making enough noise (bed drag included, probably unnecessary...) for us to get up... considering that the departure time is 12, we would have liked to sleep until 11:30 more waiting for a 4 hour trip back. Positive if you stay there overnight to catch flight the next day, perfect, is less than 5 minutes the airport. There is no cafeteria service, if vending machine and breakfast with payment separately that we do not request it. And from one year to the next they raised the price per night by more than 30€ (2 star hotel...) Sparse parking for 9 cars.
