Don’t bring children!!
The receptionists were hushing the children all the time and also sometimes if the adults was laughing and talking a bit load! When we try to talk to the receptionists, they were disrespectful!

We were there yesterday afternoon, having drinks at the bar with views of the sea, as we have done on other occasions when we attended Candlelight concerts there.
A bartender attended to us after a long wait (there were no other customers) in a rude, impolite manner, and in a raised voice... We ordered drinks, Coca-Cola and Nestea, and when we proceeded to pay, the ticket showed two coffees: €7 charged to a hotel room number. Fabulous staff! I wanted to speak with the person in charge, but they did not let me; they were very busy. Congratulations on your terrible service and treatment!

I recently stayed at Pazo Los Escudos Hotel & Spa Resort and was extremely disappointed by an interaction with the hotel’s general manager, Ricardo Varanda.
While on my way to the spa, I stopped briefly in the hotel cafeteria/bar area to order a glass of wine. Because I was headed directly to the spa, I was wearing my hotel robe. As I approached the bar, a man dining nearby abruptly got up, rushed toward me, and spoke to me in a very harsh and dismissive tone, saying that I could not be dressed that way and needed to leave immediately. I was completely taken aback by both the manner and tone in which I was addressed.
Only afterward did I learn from the front desk staff that this individual was the hotel’s general manager. What shocked me most was not simply being told there may have been a dress policy, but the humiliating and confrontational way it was handled. At a five-star hotel and spa, guests should be treated with courtesy, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
I later wrote directly to Mr. Varanda to explain how upsetting and insulting I found the encounter. Rather than acknowledging my experience or offering even a simple apology for the way I was spoken to, he insisted that the interaction had not occurred as I described and stated that I should not have been offended. That response only added to my disappointment.
Luxury hospitality is not only about beautiful facilities; it is about how guests are treated. Unfortunately, despite the hotel’s lovely setting and amenities, this interaction left me feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and unwelcome during what was supposed to be a relaxing spa experience.
