NH Puerta de la Catedral

Hotel very well located, at the foot of the magnificent Salamanca Cathedral. Comfortable room. Breakfast up to 4* standards. Very efficient (.... a bit rushed) check-in (in English). Small underground parking lot under the hotel very, very useful and essential, be careful to remember to book a spot well in advance. We had already come to this hotel ten years ago and we will return without hesitation. Finally, the price for the location and the city is extremely competitive.

The centrally located hotel on the edge of the old town of the Sercotel chain is right next to the cathedral of Avila and offers parking in its own garage upon prior request (no problem for mid-size vehicles); otherwise, there is a parking garage about 400m away. Many attractions are in close proximity, and it takes a maximum of 15 minutes on foot. Very nice reception at the front desk, service impeccable. Very good and extensive breakfast buffet. We had a great room with a huge balcony as per the booking and my request made prior to arrival, overlooking the Cathedral of Salamanca. Thank you very much for that. Especially at night, the view of the illuminated cathedral is fantastic. The room was large, as was the bathroom, everything was clean and in perfect condition, good mattresses. Unfortunately, there was no German television; that should be changed.

Good hotel, correct for the category it presents. Professional and friendly staff. Clean and well-equipped room, as well as the bathroom. Standard breakfast. Comfortable garage. Adequate price. On the downside, the cafeteria service is very limited and there are very few common areas.
