Hostal Generalife

NO ON SIGHT MANAGEMENT AND THE STAFF ARE LIARS. First, the check in is NOT at the pension itself and nobody bothered to inform me. I had to walk all over Seville and finally, I shanghaied a Spanish woman on the street who escorted me to the other location -- walking with all my bags -- to the destination, where I then had to return to the original Pension of Calle Fernan. It is incredibly noisy, full of drunks from the street and in order too extinguish the noise, I played some classical music and -- incredibly -- one of the guests demanded I turn it off, which I refused. The room is dirty, sheets were not changed and you will be sorry if you stay here. Find an adequate pension, even if you have to spend all day doing it. IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET.

This place has no on-site management, the keys need to be collected from another hostal, approx 500 metres away. They require a 5 euro bond for the keys, which meant I needed to go back to collect the deposit, then walk in an opposite direction to a bus terminal. In the communal shower/toilet, the bowl was filthy and out of paper for a day; back to the other hostal for toilet paper. Access to the advertised room balcony was blocked by a heavy metal grille, and the space between the balcony and grille was covered by cigarette ends. Obviously never cleaned. My first and last visit to this establishment.

Very clean & nice place to stay. Good location but super hot with only fans (no AC at all in Generalife so don't book if it's summer!!) Otherwise very good value. Cute room & very clean. I recommend it.
