Absolutely loving this hotel. Every little item from a hair iron in your bathroom, lights & switches where you need them, top sheet on the bed - tick, tick, tick!! Cannot find a thing out of place or missing. Fantastic service but someone clever has really sorted this bedroom beautifully. Aircon quiet. Restaurant is a perfect match as well. Great selection. Would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend. Pool abit crowded but what can you expect on a 40 degree day.

Experience here was amazing. The hotel decor is 10/10 and the furniture and amenities feel super expensive. The food and drinks are really nice. The pool area was lovely and we never had any issue getting a bed. There’s a really good plan in place around the pool where they operate a waitlist if you wish for a sunbed and there’s not yet one available, to make it fair that it’s done on who arrived first. Whilst you’re waiting for a bed they put you on comfortable chairs which are pretty much sunbeds anyway. They are also good at clearing the sunbeds if someone has left them for a certain amount of time. We never felt like we had to rush down to get one like you would in some hotels. The staff were all very friendly & accommodating:) it’s a little out the centre but we would walk into the centre in the morning when it was cooler which took 20-30 minutes and in the evenings grab a taxi at the taxi rank right outside. would definitely recommend and would return back myself.

This is a plush and beautiful hotel. There are many wonderful artistic touches in the room and in the lobby areas. Rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff are extraordinary. We were there for a special occasion, and they had left champagne and other goodies in the room. It is not located in the old town, so there are fewer eating options (other than a couple of cafes/restaurwnts and a Burger King nearby) But it is very easy to get there with the tram (first stop near the hotel and last stop at the Cathedral—takes 10 minutes), or if you like walking, it takes 25 minutes. But if you want to be at a true walking distance from the old town and the many tapas joints there, it’s better to choose a hotel closer to the center of the city. Santa Justa train station is just next door to the hotel, and convenient for trips out of town and easy access to car rentals, which was important to us. Because the hotel is located on a major road, there is good soundproofing but a little bit of ambient noise from the street. We were given rooms on the higher floors, but it is possibly a good idea to request a room on a higher floor. Breakfast is a little expensive, but elaborate and good. You can also get coffee and pastries at the Breakery if you don’t sign up for breakfast. We did not choose to relax and chill at the pool much so we did not notice the issues with the lack of sunbeds mentioned by others. But we did notice a line forming for the pool early on a Sunday. Chairs around the pool (non sunbeds) were available at all times and there were also plenty of tables near the pool bar.
