Hotel Sant Jordi

Very simple hotel near the beach and several restaurants and bars. The room had a very large terrace (larger than the room itself) with a television, private bathroom, air conditioning, towels, and toiletries. It did not have a hairdryer, but the hotel staff lent me one. I would like to highlight the good attention from the staff, who accommodated our arrival time without any problem. The parking is not at the hotel, but it is two buildings away, so there is a small extra cost of €5 per day. The parking spaces are fine; the only drawback might be for very tall cars due to the descent to the garage.

We stayed at this hotel inadvertently having thought we had booked into the Hotel St Jordi in Tarragona - be careful if you use Booking.com. We paid £85 per night and were told we were booked into a superior room. Room 211 for the record is next to a lift and overlooks the train line which passes by....frequently. Badly decorated, broken light. At best it was clean. We complained and got moved to another room on the 3rd floor which was a great improvement - still basic. There was an adjoining door which when we returned after dinner a dog barked continuously and then at 2:30 pm when a couple arrived back and decided to get amorous the dog joined in with the noise! We won't be going back! Staff lovely but really expensive for an exceptionally basic hotel.
