Honest Review - 5/10
Rooms - small but comfortable and cleaned every day. Fresh towels and beds made. 10/10 can not fault the rooms and cleaning ladies.
Location - close to everything and beach only down the road, selection of shops and restaurants only a few minutes away. 10/10
Pool side - 1/10 absolute nightmare, not enough beds to accommodate guests. You can only leave your sun bed for 20 minutes and then they move them. So basically you have 20 minutes to eat, 20 minutes on the pool before they swipe your stuff. You can not relax round the pool for the fear of them taking your stuff and you will have no sun bed then for the whole day. We spent most of our time at the beach due to this. If you want a sun bed you have to que up about 8.45 and some one has to man them all day. If your looking to relax round the pool you can not do it at this hotel you get anxiety going to the toilet thinking your towels will be gone and then. Left with no sun bed all day. I have never been to a hotel where they do this. I think due to this we only spent one day on the hotel. They need more sun beds for the amount of guests that are in the hotel.
Would I return to Salou? Yes
Would I return to this hotel ? No

Overall we had a nice stay but so many things let this hotel down that we wouldn't return to it. We spent more time at the beach as the pool area was just too busy to be enjoyable.
The good:
The buffet food is lovely - there's not a massive change in options day to day but everything we had was very good and enough choices. There was occasionally a special item out as well (sweetie table, hotdogs, seafood etc). It does get extremely busy though as you'd expect and there seems to be a lack of larger tables so we struggled to all sit together.
Half board guests can swap dinner for lunch if required.
The pool bar food is good and reasonably priced.
It's only 10-15 minutes walk to Portaventura and the same in the other direction to the beach.
Pool towels can be hired for 10 euros each - but you do have to pay a euro to change them (which I thought was strange!).
Balcony has a drying rack.
The not so good:
The rooms are tired looking and not very clean. They are also quite small with little space for clothing. Our room in particular was very dusty and the bedding was not changed at all during our stay. Beds were just remade each day. The beds are not very comfortable and the air con is not very strong and so the rooms were too hot and we slept poorly.
Towels the same as bedding - they were just folded and laid out again each day.
The shower was good enough but we did have an issue with little bugs in the shower each evening and our taps did not turn properly to each side and so the water temperature fluctuated a lot.
The pool is way too small for the amount of guests - every day it is jam packed with people that it's not a very nice environment - we were constantly kicked or splashed or jumped on by other children as there just is not enough space for the amount of people in the hotel.
There is also a lack of sunbeds for the amount of guests and results in a lot of queuing early morning for putting towels out. The yellow sunbeds are very dirty and unpleasant to lie on (the grey ones were better).
The staff remove towels on sunbeds if left vacant for 20 mins - fine to deter those who dump them and leave, but very annoying for those playing with their kids in the pool.
The mini disco was also not quite what we expected - advertised as on every night but we found that not to be true.
The pool bar staff work extremely hard and are all very friendly but as the pool area is so busy they struggle to serve people quickly. There is just one outside bar for the whole pool area and it's understaffed.
Another point that is not this hotels fault but if you have a room facing the street the hotel across the roads entertainment is ridiculously loud and goes on until 11pm/12am.

We have just returned from a week stay at the Belvedere .
The staff here are extremely friendly & welcoming.
The food is good loads of choice we were half board so breakfast & Dinner no complaints!
Rooms are very small but clean . Towels changed every day bed made .
My only negative is the pool .
It's far to small for the amount of guests .
Large Q's form at 8am onwards pool doesn't open till 9 !!!
No beds at 9.15 if that's your type of holiday get up early!!!
Beach only down the road much nicer experience.
