Blaumar Hotel

With this review, we would like to point out some significant shortcomings that we noticed during our stay at the Blaumar Hotel Salou 4+* after checking in on July 6, 2026, in room 2211. Unfortunately, the overall impression of the stay does not meet the standards one can expect from a 4-star superior hotel given the circumstances listed below. 1. Soundproofing of the room The room has extremely poor soundproofing. Even with the windows completely closed, the noises from the pool, café, and other public areas are clearly audible. Evening events last until late at night, after which the staff clears away tables and chairs, and in the morning, pool cleaning begins. Under these conditions, a restful night's sleep is practically impossible. 2. Condition of the room The room was handed over to us in an unsatisfactory condition: It was dusty, the furniture was heavily worn and damaged. Overall, the hotel seems outdated and in need of renovation. 3. Fitness room The fitness room in no way meets the standards of a 4-star superior hotel. The equipment is outdated, some shows signs of rust, the room is dirty, poorly ventilated, and offers no pleasant conditions for workouts. 4. Restaurant and dining The organization of the restaurant is inadequate given the number of guests. One has to accept long waiting times both for an available table and at the buffet. Furthermore, the selection and quality of the food offered are very limited and do not meet the standards of a 4-star superior hotel. The selection of side dishes, meat, and fish dishes is minimal, only one type of soup is offered, and the fruit selection is very poor, which is surprising, especially in Spain in the middle of summer. The service organization in the restaurant is particularly noteworthy. During meals, the staff clears plates and cutlery too quickly, sometimes even before the guests have finished eating. This gives the impression that they want to make room for the next guests as quickly as possible. The cutlery is also insufficient, and the restaurant itself is too cramped, overcrowded, and poorly ventilated, which leads to significant discomfort. 5. Wellness area The wellness area is closed on Mondays. Visits are only possible by prior arrangement at the reception and with a limited number of visitors. The use of lockers for personal items requires a fee (1 euro). These restrictions were not sufficiently communicated at the time of booking. 6. WI-FI The free Wi-Fi mainly works only in the lobby. The signal in the room is very weak or non-existent, which makes using the internet significantly more difficult. 7. Water dispenser The water dispenser on the floor was empty for a long time, which caused additional inconvenience for the guests.

We had an absolutely magnificent stay at this hotel; from our arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a smile. Thank you to all the entertainers, especially Stef, Willy, Mady, Scooby, Foufa, and Momo ❤❤❤

I am a female solo traveler, first time in this hotel. Room was clean, housekeeping very friendly. I asked for a topper as I had also hurt my back; within half an hour, housekeeping came and placed the topper and fresh linens. Big room, big shower, nice pressure. I was on the street side, my balcony overlooked the street so no sun, lots of trees. It was fine as I did not spend much time there. I had half board: breakfast and dinner. Not really any queues. Ample choices and enough to go around. Unfortunately, I got sick; the staff was amazing, from arranging a doctor to come see me to getting my meds from the pharmacist. They regularly asked if I needed anything. I felt cared for as I was a bit shook up by it all. I honestly have no complaints whatsoever. I had to stay 4 days more than planned and it was not a problem. Location is perfect, in between the old town and the shopping and bar area. I will be back! :)
