Apartamentos Icod Residencial

We stayed 2 nights at the emblamatico.san Marcos.The hotel is a fabulous traditional converted mansion. Only 5 rooms furnished beautifully. Very clean lovely garden area. Near to lovely restaurants. Breakfast was lovely and a massive Thank you to our host Maria. Romantic break.

We found this very difficult to find as the receptionist on the phone who we kept ringing because we were lost completely forgot to mention the fact that the apartments were actually in the shopping centre that we kept driving past! When you eventually do find it, the location is actually very good, you have all the shops you could want on the floor below you which is very convenient, you are also within walking distance of good restaurants and the Dragon tree. The downsides are the walls are very thin between rooms and at one point our neighbour banged our wall simply for talking late at night. The apartments are also a bit meanly supplied, with just the bare minimum of towels, toilet roll, and kitchen equipment. We found ourselves having to pop around to a restaurant to borrow a cork screw. Also considering that they only have 14 rooms they seem very disorganized, we decided to stay a few extra nights, and we had to tell them that the rooms were available (via bookings.com)! The wifi was available in rooms but froze on a couple of occasions, but overall these apartments are really great value considering the location, as we used it as a base to explore all along the coast, Garachico is about 5 minutes away.
