El Marques Palace

I find it difficult to rate on Trip Advisor sometimes as I think you can always find fault if you want to. So I have gone for 4/5 but I’m not sure what more this would have needed to be 5/5. We stayed here for 6 nights as we were over to see my Mum and Dad and thought it was great all round. Very clean, spacious (helped that we were given a two bed apt) and good facilities. Decor is a wee bit dated but that’s a Tenerife thing in my view and it didn’t take from the apt and roomy balcony. The Pool was a highlight - heated so good temp all day round and Lidl just across the road ensured we had what we needed in food and water. My only gripe is that the gym which appears in the pics is run separately and was €8 a day. To be honest though it wasn’t a big hassle and I just went less and enjoyed my self instead! If my wife and I come back to Tenerife will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Although this is quite an old hotel it has everything you need in a great location. Lidl is over the road so food is very cheap. There are great restaurants down towards the harbour (10-15 min walk down a steep hill) The hotel is kept very clean and rooms are serviced and cleaned every 2 days. The rooms are a little dated and although the rooms do have air con not all air con works. We had to move rooms as ours didn’t. So my advice check before you book that your room has air con that works. Nico was the receptionist who dealt with my complaint about the room having no air con. He upgraded us to a 3 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor with a great sea view and huge balcony. Thanks Nico you were amazing. This hotel is great value for money, no it’s not posh but great location, very clean, big rooms, lovely sea view, kind staff and I forgot to mention a lovely swimming pool with lots of sun loungers. I would certainly come here again. Thanks
