Terrible, after staying at this hotel on several occasions, I am leaving disappointed, the room was much smaller and more obsolete than the others where I had stayed, not just dirty, but beyond that.

Very disappointing hotel. The rooms are old, worn out and not clean. There are stains on the furniture upholstery, the TV doesn’t work, and everything feels outdated and poorly maintained. On top of that, the room smells unpleasant. The worst part was finding cockroaches in the room. That is simply unacceptable. If you don’t mind sleeping with cockroaches, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

During my stay at Ole Tropical Tenerife, I accidentally spilled oil on the mattress in my hotel room. It was an honest mistake, and not due to any careless behaviour. My friend Elleana Tugwell was with me and saw what happened. We didn’t realise the oil had soaked through the bedding and stained the mattress underneath. Later that day, when we returned from the pool, we found the bedding removed and the mattress exposed with a clear stain. We reported this immediately to reception, explaining the accident and that we hadn’t known the oil had soaked in. While checking, we noticed other stains on the mattress that weren’t caused by us. The next morning, the management told us the cleaning staff thought the stain was urine but said it didn’t matter since there was a stain either way and dismissed that there was other stains already on the mattress they didn’t seem to care about . Housekeeping confirmed the oil had soaked in and couldn’t be cleaned off, recommending the mattress be replaced. Later, the hotel management called to say the mattress needed replacing and charged us €250, demanding payment immediately or we would be asked to leave. Throughout this, the management team were rude and dismissive, which made the whole experience very stressful. Overall, I felt unfairly treated and pressured over an accidental spill, and I have had to submit a claim to recover the €250 I was forced to pay. The yellow circle stain was the stain we made by accident not even that big and the rest of the stains were already there.
