Residencial hotelera La Colombina

I was apprehensive on discovering that, despite booking.com's 3 star rating, the hotel was described as 1 star on google. However it proved better than that. Basic but very clean (superior) room, compact en suite, good shower, fridge. Hanging rail but no drawers. Very uncomfortable couch. Lovely staff in breakfast room which doubles as a cafe for locals. Adequate choice at breakfast. Our room key stopped working after one day and, despite several requests, the lock batteries were not replaced. Using a key, when the automatic corridor lights only remained on for three seconds, was inconvenient.

Horrendous service and attitude. We booked a room on their website and got a confirmation number but when we arrived the man said they didn’t have our booking. He then made absolutely no apology and offered no help finding a new room even after I explained that the usual websites for finding rooms are now fully booked. DO NOT BOOK DIRECTLY ON THEIR WEBSITE it’s obviously unreliable.

The town is small it is well located there is a small parking lot in front but we always found space. The rooms are clean, the hotel is quiet. For breakfast it is a buffet which is copious. A hotel that I recommend.
