Bahia Flamingo

We had a wonderful stay at Sholeo Lodge, in Playa Santiago, with our dog Tito. From the first moment, we felt very comfortable and welcome. We loved the room: very cute, clean, air conditioning, with a balcony and a refrigerator, something that is greatly appreciated on vacation. The hotel atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. Breakfast was included and was very complete, with a lot of variety and fresh products. We also had dinner at the hotel several times and were surprised by the quality of the food and its prices, which were very reasonable, practically street prices. We want to especially highlight how easy it was to travel with our dog and how well we all enjoyed our stay. Without a doubt, we would repeat. Thanks to the Sholeo Lodge team for such pleasant days!

It is our second time at this hotel, this time three people in two rooms. I refer to my previous comment, from August 2025, and I will comment on the differences: 1. The flower beds are no longer saturated with feces from the feline colony's cats. The healthiness of the space has increased enormously, I think it is very wise that they clean them. 2. At night they put a security guard at the entrance, so they can avoid and repel intruders. We think it is a substantive improvement. 3. Pool water quality: excellent, and I have also been able to verify that the QR code in the pool rules does indeed contain the water values. 4. At the pool, the lifeguard (different from last year's) maintains the same passive attitude toward the use of balls in the pool and the jumping and somersaults into the water by rude customers. In the rules, we have been able to verify that they continue to prohibit both things. But we did see some waiters preventing some customers from taking glass to the lounge chairs, so we already have some improvement. 5. The food is no longer what it used to be; they have eliminated the gastronomic concept, although the truth is that it now covers the different tastes and needs of the customers more broadly. The organization has also changed; one no longer serves oneself, which I understand represents an improvement in terms of food waste. 6. We had the opportunity to use the gym, and although it is not perfectly maintained (the steel cable on the pulley machines has areas without coating, and the machines in general have play... the elliptical wobbles so much it seems like it is going to fall apart), it is very complete and allows for workouts to get by during short stays. The conclusion is that the improvements in safety, health, and compliance with rules make it more recommendable to us than last year. The target user profile remains young people; it is a business approach very focused on aesthetics and internal dynamics, and it is observable in the general public.

Lovely hotel and great value. A bit quirky with some things- housekeeping only once for the whole week which wasn’t the best. The staff was mostly friendly but sometimes when asking a question they would just point to the App instead of answering, which was a bit off putting!
