Globales Acuario Hotel

Just went with teen son. Staff were really nice. Clientele mainly Spanish which we thought was a good sign. Room basic but clean. Breakfast had hot and cold options, bacon, egg, mushrooms, spanish omelette, hash browns etc, but no fresh juice, still ok. Fine for us to walk 25 mins to town (hilly on way back), nice restaurants in town. They booked us a brilliant trip to Siam Park but the guy on the desk struggled to tell us the pick up point, just that it "used to be called San Antonio and is near Puerto Palace" - it was the Radisson, so this could be improved as it was stressful. Pool is a little small so perhaps just for a dip at the end of the day, we went to Lago Martianez to swim instead. And no air con but it was fine, our temp was 21-24. Overall a good budget option, enjoyed it.

It is a two-star hotel, and overall the experience was according to what we expected from this data. It is an old building, with five floors of rooms. It offers buffet breakfast, and buffet dinner. There's no palapa, no cafeteria or anything between hours. Just a soda vending machine. The pool was small but clean and functional. With lifeguard some pool/ping-pong tables next door. They gave us a room on the fifth floor. The WiFi didn't arrive at all. When we went to shower, the water came out cold, still waiting a good 15 minutes to see if it warmed up. When claiming, we were told that being in the highest silver, maybe it did not get to heat the thermos well. Which depended on whether the other guests were bathing at the same time. Of the two days we were, bathing at different times, it was always cold water. In the room there was no fridge, so you can not buy soft drinks, sandwiches, salads... for the stay, because there is nowhere to keep them. The breakfast buffet cost 11 euros per head, and it was not bad. Very scarce, of course, but fulfilling everything that can be expected. Elements of English Breakfast (eggs, bacon, hashbrown, sausages...), toast, jams and butter. Machine juices, coffee machine and water. For the price, we came away happy. But we found the dinner buffet to be paupérimo. 15 euros per head, with about ten trays in the buffet. A salad, some cannelloni, a black rice, chips and baggie croquettes. On the dessert side, a flan, jellies and a frozen cake. Drinking, water. Period. Nothing included. We went to order a soda, even if we had to pay for it separately, and they wouldn’t accept payment by card in the dining room. You had to get up and pay at reception for a refreshment. My companion wanted to order a cocktail of the menu they had on the table and they didn’t even know what we were asking. He said, "Then a mojito please." They told him there were no cocktails in general. Despite there being an entire section in the letter. I don't understand why there's a letter on the table if what's on offer isn't available. I don't think having a dahtaphone on the bar is much to ask either. In short, it is not a bad hotel to have the stars it has, but it is advisable to ask for room on the ground floors to have hot water and WiFi, and to mentalize that you have to go out to eat outside.

We were told we would have a balcony we didn't , the breakfast which was included was mainly the same everyday not bad as included in the price ,no kettles in the room so had to wait until we got up to get a cup of tea 1 of the receptionist wasent very helpful when I asked about a kettle he said they don't have kettles in any of the hotels in Spain, sorry but they do ,guessing its to expensive to run the bathroom had mould allover the ceiling and no plugs for the sink or bath ,no curtain up at the window either so you could see through ,we left early and went to another hotel which was so much better would I stay here again no for sure
