We found a cockroach in room 606, we reported it at the front desk and they did not offer us any type of refund and on top of that they told us "a room change could be considered" without directly offering a room change or a sensible solution. Instead of that, they started making excuses, saying that Puerto de la Cruz has a problem with cockroach infestations. Excuse me???? Where did the professionalism go? The worst customer service I have experienced, apart from the cockroach issue, the hotel seems like it is from the year 1400 B.C. Simply DO NOT come.

Mixed review on this hotel. Positives- very well located, central to old town, bus station and liked that. Reception staff mainly very pleasant and the room and restaurant staff too. The superior room did have a small balcony overlooking reasonably quiet street and Teide in the distance. Room adequate with perhaps a little drab furniture. The sliding door was difficult to open onto the balcony. Also fan was inadequate, so room very hot More negative comments ... stairs to get to lift. Main lounge bar not functioning which is a pity as they had a nice lounge area. And finally to the food. Value to price paid was fair as it was a reasonable deal. I found breakfast as ate later, that hot food was cold so doubtful about it although you could use the small microwave if you could fit plate in it. The selection was adequate overall with hot and cold items in place. The evening meal was still cold if you arrived early or not, it didn't look very appetising to be honest so I was very picky to what I ate. It is served in a pleasant dining room and little terrace area. I suppose I could say think value for money it was adequate and even good value, but although I do eat well usually, I felt I had to pick and choose carefully, especially for the evening. The serving of drinks and clearing plates etc was very efficient. The Gazpacho soup was good. I would consider staying here again perhaps in a cooler time period as overall it has good staff and facilities, slightly underused. Although needs some modernisation.
