Hotel with good facilities and very friendly staff. Restaurant service with good preparation and diversity, and done in shifts. For Portuguese people who like coffee, I don't recommend it because they don't know how to make coffee, whether in the palace cafe or at the pool bar. Just one negative note is the queues that form for the restaurant, where I waited more than 15 minutes, because the entry system is poorly designed. Despite this detail, I give the hotel a positive rating

This year has been the second time we have stayed at this formidable hotel, the Versus Gandía Palace, for 12 days. If we loved it last year for its well-maintained and well-decorated facilities, and for how all its staff make us feel—kind, helpful, professional, and also being so young and very hardworking— well, this year they have surpassed themselves in everything, in the dining room, with Mr. Donalt Villa in charge of the dining room, his patience, his ability to organize such a huge dining room, his friendliness and cordiality are to be appreciated. Many thanks from this group of 8 people from Valladolid. Regarding the buffet, we observed a notable improvement in both quality and variety of dishes; it continues with last year's chef, who is fabulous. Last year, I already commented that the room I was in had a bathtub, and that is a nuisance and somewhat dangerous, since one slips easily (a SHOWER is better). The towels are wonderful and they change them practically daily; upon arrival, you find in the bathroom, on the sink countertop, a toothbrush, a razor, a shower cap, a makeup remover product, and the gel and shampoo are in dispenser bottles on the wall of the sink and the bathtub. Now, I want to express from here in a very special way, the great fitness center and gym of this hotel, EXTRAORDINARY, and no less EXTRAORDINARY is the person who so masterfully directs it... VLADI, that is the name of this great professional, VLADI, managed to have us 9 people in an alternative workout group from 8:30 a.m. for 9 days punctually, with a lot of muscle soreness, but delighted to learn to know our body and how important it is to exercise and have a good diet; it is worth stopping by the gym and meeting VLADI. Many thanks Vladi, from this group from Valladolid. As for the hotel's entertainment... well, in the same vein as last year... scarce, thank goodness for the DIURKA orchestra, which did liven up our nights when they were performing. Mind you, the drinks are very expensive, 11 € for a mixed drink...!

Very poor hotel, because of the language they didn't understand half a word even in English, but in general if you want to go to a city where they speak AT LEAST English, don't go here!!! Highly unrecommended, hotel staff very rude, in addition to the people, let's say adults/old people, also in the city very rude!!! If you asked for directions or had to learn Spanish, even in their dialect, otherwise they didn't care, some even answering rudely, and having argued with them and told them to go to hell with words, never again in my life will I go to this hotel/city, in my opinion the place where people were the rudest ever and we have traveled to many places in the world, Africa, America, almost all of Europe!! I swear to you, the people were so rude that you couldn't help but be rude too because they were really disgusting, some young people instead, not all because we also ran into rude young people there, but some always helped you anyway with the translation into Spanish because they didn't understand absolutely any English.. the reception staff, called several times from Italy speaking in English and they didn't understand, we had to go there with the rented car to book!! With a translator!!! I mean, but really, it seems like a joke!! Very small pool suitable almost only for children, the pool bar always closed, hotel guests mostly elderly, in fact the evening entertainment was music for the elderly who were dancing, there was no entertainment for young people!!! Furnished, apart from the entrance, in a very old-fashioned way!!! Food not very good apart from the desserts... the rooms were not very big, the bathrooms a disaster!! There was a shower-tub that was very old and you even risked slipping.. the closet, well, a bit of a disaster too.. the only thing, if you were lucky, there was a sea view... but you had to travel by car because the one nearby, which for us was not at all in front of the hotel, was very rough and if you went into the water you risked being carried away, the beach bars I am talking about, the one closest to the hotel, had nothing for lunch or dinner, they only made cocktails, so much so that people were drunk.. they had said they served dinner but it wasn't true, they kept packaged ice creams that, however, seemed expired, not kept cool because they melted immediately, besides the fact that most of the ice cream shops there didn't have artisanal ice cream, and what's more, we went to a pizzeria near the hotel where the saleswoman kept huffing if, after the first time, that is, a minute had passed and you hadn't chosen yet!!! Very rude, arrogant, she glared at people, she didn't ask anything, she didn't understand anything!!! Not even in some airport shops did they speak English well, even the saleswomen in the perfume shops were truly rude, you couldn't try a perfume that they had something to say, furthermore one thought, since I had touched a cocktail-shaped thing that contained perfumes to look at it and inside there wasn't a cream from what I understood she was saying, she wanted to call the police, I mean this woman is crazy, luckily her colleague showed her with the cameras that that thing didn't contain cream!!! I mean, I swear, the first thing I noticed was precisely the rudeness, even the Chinese car they had rented us stopped twice... and couldn't start again!!!! People, trust me, do not go to this hotel but above all do not go to Gandía!!! It sucks!!!!! And rudeness prevails over everything!!! And they don't speak English, it feels like being with people who come from prison in certain cases!!!! But it's a disgrace that we don't have in other places !!! It is a real waste of money and, what's more, the airport upon arrival had nothing, only two lousy little bars with gross food... neither things to get nor decent food or drinks!! Total disaster.
