Hesperia Zaragoza

Reception was terrible. I am spending the weekend at the hotel; I am leaving tomorrow at 8:00 AM and we just arrived at 9:00 PM to take a shower and go to dinner. We are thirsty, and the other friends who are staying here tell us that there is complimentary water in the fridge. There is none in our room, so I will go down to ask for water. The solution is that tomorrow the housekeepers will give it to me... I don't know at what time because we are leaving very early. I tell the girl and the solution is... there is a supermarket next door but it closes at 9:00 PM and tomorrow is Sunday. Embarrassing is an understatement. Instead of... don't worry, I will look for two and in 20 minutes you will have them downstairs... that is asking too much. I won't even comment on the neighborhood, which is lovely... but the hotel is not to blame for that. I am not asking for preferential treatment or anything, but just a little empathy... which apparently is something luxurious that is no longer extended.

The hotel was good, the room was spacious and quiet, the television had no sound, and the bathtub was slippery (be very careful).

First the positive. The front counter staff is wonderful and were very helpful. It was hot and lobby was nicely air conditioned. Got to the room it was extremely warm. Turned on the air conditioner, nothing came out but warm air. Finally asked front counter, they had us changed rooms. Very slightly better only because the curtains were closed. This hotel claims to have air conditioned rooms, they do not. It blows warm air out of the central unit. If you need a cool room, like my wife needs, this is not the place to stay. Luckily the front desk got us a fan for our room, which made it so we could get some sleep. We felt trapped. Do not stay her when it warm. One room had coffee maker next room did not. Curtain in both rooms were horrible shape. Toilet seat was broken in 2nd room. Worst stay of our trip. 2 nite stay.
