Hostal Monasterio de Rueda

Do NOT be confused thinking this is Monasterios de Reuda. Couldn't be further from truth. From arrival with complicated digit entry, shabby room, marked walls and headboard and telephone call from extremely aggressive property manager. Such an uncomfortable, unnerving situation.

Stayed in Nov. 2023 This hostel is regularly confused with the monastery of the same name, which until recently also had a hospedería. In fact, this is the village bar with rooms in Sastago, which has been renovated. My room was large and the bathroom OK. Electricity only with card. There was a modern elevator. The bar also offers an evening menu. In the picture a typical churrasco. You have to park in front of the house. The photo from TripAdvisor is misleading.

Stayed for one night in this family owned small hostel is city of Sastago. It was a really nice suprise how nice the staff was, how clean the room was. There was also really fast free wifi in the hotel. Downstairs there was bar and restaurant, where I ate really nice Spanish dinner. If you are staying here in winter time, take your warm socks with you because room floor is really cold. However room itself is really warm. If you are looking place to stay in Sastago area, you should really consider to choose this one!
