Wild Trails By Amaya

We had a fantastic experience at wild trail Yala by Mili. Very well looked after by a friendly camping ranger. The tent was neat and so was the camp. Great coffee and lunch. Also a nice dinner eaten under the stars.

This is a Camp where you will be warmly welcomed by Camp-manager Shyan with staff. In the evening when we arrived we got a guided walk in the bush, and got to experience the sunset from the stunning cliffs. A highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka🪷. We got to see leopard tracks right near the camp, and got to get really close to nature. The food and service was excellent, we asked Shyan to surprise us with local specialities which is hard to get with a set menu. We haven’t come to Yala to eat burgers 🤣 We got dishes we haven’t eaten before, super-tasty😋 Another big plus is that Mili cooperates with a really good safari company with really experienced drivers. We also got guides on our safari, but a lot depends on the driver's experience and contacts. We got to see all the animals we wanted; bear, leopard, elephants, crocodiles, various deer, wild boar, eagles, etc., completely unforgettable👍😁

Sadly we were significantly delayed when checking out in the morning having asked to do so quite early-we were the 1st people up for a significant length of time indicating that they were in no way ready to check us out. 45 minutes later to add insult to injury we were overcharged for drinks. The rest of the experience was good-nice accommodation, good food and friendly staff Such a shame spoiled at the end
