Rani Beach Resort

The property is quite large and located right next to the beach in Negombo. At first glance, it seemed like a decent place. However, things started to change once we stepped into the room. The rooms were spacious, but the overall feel was quite run-down — more like a four-star hotel from the 90s that hasn’t been updated in a long time. The air conditioning worked fine, but the mosquitoes were relentless. The place seems to have a serious mosquito problem, and we were constantly dealing with bites. Breakfast the next morning was another disappointment. It was extremely basic — just a few slices of bread, some fruits, and eggs. For someone like me who looks forward to a good breakfast, this was quite underwhelming. The only real advantages are the location, with the beach nearby and several restaurants within easy reach. Overall, it didn’t live up to expectations, and unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it.

I spent fortunately only one night in a single room, street side, very very noisy. Dinner and pdj very suitable. Room service and kitchen friendly but not at the reception or pool, refusing to give me a bath sheet, waiting for my departure in the evening because check-out. Bathroom to renovate.

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel . When I checked in , the room was clearly not properly cleaned . The bathroom had visible dirt and hair , the floor was sticky . And the bedsheets did not look fresh . Cleanliness is a basic expectation for any hotel . And unfortunately this hotel failed to meet that standard , Because of this experience , I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to other travelers .
