Scandic Karlshamn

Amazing rooms, beds and pillows. Great breakfast buffet. Nice staff, nice both spa and gym. This is the only hotel I can imagine staying in Karlshamn.

I had booked a spa stay for me and my fiancée. I ordered in the belief that the spa facilities were available throughout the stay. (Of course within opening hours) It turned out that you "only" had a spa for 3 hours, which is also quite a long time, but it was 3 hours in a row. You couldn't split it up. There is nothing else to do at the hotel to drive away time. It is also a tremendously boring location of the hotel. Could just as well be a resting place, so it's not because you had the big options. We got very bored during our stay. We spent most of the time watching TV (chromecast is available) The restaurant is nothing special, not to mention the staff. The service was practically non-existent. They had a new waitress being trained, so there were 2 to take our order. 2 people who did not give as much as a smile, or eye contact. During the entire stay it only seemed as if we were to trouble, and that is despite we did our best to start each interaction again. Fresh energy, smiles and eye contact. But nothing was repayed. Not from the reception or the restaurant. The cleaning staff is available cute and smiling, so it's lovely! We went to the spa without our cell phone (because we didn't know we should use it) but we found out that all orders must be made through it, so we couldn't be allowed to order drinks during the spa experience. Fortunately, there was water available, but everything else had to be ordered over the phone, without exception. Our room stank of sewage from the toilet off, however we quickly got a new and in many ways better room, So it was also fine.

I have been here several times and it has been disastrous treatment in the bar and in the restaurant. The food is cold when you choose to serve mussels at a tapas buffet. You have to wait for seating for a long time and the dishes go before putting people to the table. You can't order a mojito because the bartender doesn't have a mint. Last time we were here, we had to eat at an office desk in the basement. Due to the restaurant was fully booked instead of free roon service for example. Therefore, my grade is very bad. 👎🏻
