Clarion Collection Hotel Packhuset

Excellent hotel with history from the old Kalmar, upgraded to a hotel for those who know to enjoy life. Very friendly staff! Helpful and friendly. As long as they are several stars. Hope management appreciates the staff it deserves. Great to sit outside and eat breakfast or dinner, have a drink or coffee and watch the sailboats in the marina and the swallows that flew around and sat on the sails. The food was good, the only thing was maybe that it wasn’t such a fun hot alternative to us vegans/gluten intolerants though we told you before but it’s the absolute only plump in the protocol. Rich salads and other saturated things!

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Super comfortable bed and good breakfast with nice views of Kalmar Sound. Big minus was the view from room 221 - straight into a plank and in between the pigeons toilet! Surprised that there doesn't even seem to have been any attempt to remove the pigeons, as a sanitary nuisance. Hope the hotel takes it to heart for soon action.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice surroundings both outside and inside. Exciting with old interior from the old packing house in the form of mainly beams and posts. The only negative is that there was a lot of daylight in the room when the blackout was completely inadequate above the window. The room was bathed in daylight at 4 in the morning even though blackout curtains were available. Here you need to look at how to solve this if you want the guest to wake up refreshed. Even the partner who does not usually wake up to the light in the morning had woken up. I can tell you that says a lot.
