Nice hotel with good location. Small rooms with uncomfortable chairs but top quality bed and pillows. Difficult parking but excellent service from the reception. However, what ruined the impression was the breakfast. It was far below average and was marked by too few employees at work and savings on raw materials. Little selection and no fresh bread. No butter and cold eggs.

Tip top location, service and food..we chose this hotel over Scandic due to rude service and poor location at Scandic. At this hotel, however, we got the top experience..there is also a private backyard for mc / bicycles. A little tight, but safe and locked. Very nice receptionist. Beautiful interior. Stylish. Great room. Big bath. I'd love to come back.

It was with great expectation I stayed for the first time at Elite Stadshotellet Växjö (for 2 nights). With a few minutes walk from the Travel Center, the location is good. Great lobby that had decent seats. Plus for coffee to grab in the lobby. Could have been more than just 1 elevator. Unfortunately I did not receive an envelope that should have been sent to the hotel. Accommodating staff, as did I had to change rooms. With the balcony door open, I heard the roar of the street restaurants, when I lived on the first floor. Type curtain out to the balcony should be replaced, as it had some black spot. The hotel room, 2 single beds was great. No refrigerator, and there was no lighting in the ceiling. Also wonder if there was AC, then was warm in the room! Not to recommend the shower at the bathtub, which makes you easily slip. Worn bathtub where some enamel was missing. Good with shampoo, shower gel, etc. Shoe horns existed. Was as I said was more "snug" than the more "modern" hotels. Not sure if there was access to gym. Breakfast was supposed to open at 7.30, but opened at 7 o’clock, crawling with screaming toddlers who made it feel like you were in a kindergarten. The second day it was a little less with people (children). Breakfast had what you want. Plus for Danish and other pastries. Good with different shots. The bread rolls were like that, but there was other soft bread, and bread to toast. Stable bacon, eggs, scrambled eggs, granola, nuts, etc. The juice slowing pulp (but was well good). Good also fresh fruit, melon, annats. Was Bishop Arms adjacent to the hotel, ordered a schnitzel that was stable. Nice clerk who spoke English. When they do "advertising" with several hundred kinds of beer, it was strange they did not have Carlsberg Hof. Good otherwise with their seats outside and indoors. There was also an Asian restaurant in the hotel, ordered pick-up doughnut and steak, which was quite OK. The serving time felt long (about 20min). Very friendly staff. Overall, a hotel with its pros and cons. But on the whole, the positive outweighs the positive.
