Scandic Norrkoping City

Good location near the centre of Norrköping, clean room, everything as expected. We arrived quite late in the evening, but anyhow were able to get a dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Breakfast was good, but quite crowded (as expected in the holiday season). Convenient parking in the garage.

Poor service at dinner, got food but no cutlery, waited a long time to be referred place at the vacant table when staff handled the bar before dinner guests.

We had to check into a disgusting room where it was disgusting on the outside of the toilet and the edge of the shower. The trash can in the bathroom was broken and a pillow in the bed had black marks on it. We told the reception and got a new room that was just as disgusting in the toilet. Among other things, there had been pee which is extremely unfresh. The guy at the front desk understood that we couldn't go through another room so we stayed in the original room. It was about 21:20 when we said to the first time so we were both very tired and could not have a discussion. There were also snot and other stains on a gradine hanging on the wall extremely close to the bed which meant that you had to go against it when you were getting out of bed. The receptionist understood and agreed that it was disgusting and that he would ensure that we were compensated as well as possible. Then we end up contacting the hotel after the stay and then we are very unpleasantly treated. They believe that "there is not a lack of hygiene but that the cleaning has shortcomings"... what should that mean?? A toilet that is not wiped is, in our opinion, a major deficiency in both hygiene and cleaning. That said, they believe that there will be no further compensation or similar. DISASTER!!!
